Pursue excellence at LPU

Overall Rating
Overall, the campus is huge, and you won’t get bored. You can make friends from over the world and know their culture. I chose this institute because they provide huge scholarships and great quality education at the same time, coming from a middle-class family, this is all we need. You will get exposure here to many things from studies to co-curricular activities according to your interest.
 

Academics Rating
I have taken B.Tech in Computer Science and the curriculum is quite busy and serious. Always surrounded with tests and assignments you won't feel when the semester will end. But if you work hard, the result is worth it. I gave LPUNEST but you can take entry from JEE mains and boards marks also and accordingly get scholarships. You must have taken PCM in 12th.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the teachers are from government colleges like IITs and NITs and they have creative ways to teach. Some teachers are not that good at teaching mostly which are new and not experienced. Some teach with presentations while some in blackboard. Many teachers also have YouTube channels and those are really helpful in the time of exams and also important questions are discussed in the videos.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a Placement Cell which takes 10000 from each student at 3rd year to give placement classes and other skill related classes. The students are called according to their CGPA, and respective company needed skills and given workshops accordingly.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we do have residential facilities and depending on your budget, and you need you can book rooms of ac or non ac from 1 to 6-seater as well apartments are also available. Mess is excluded and separate fee is charged, they are inside hostel though. Salons, shops, laundry all are included inside the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus academic blocks are divided according to the branch of students. There is a big central library with discussion rooms and individual barrels. Hospital in campus, free ambulance facility as well free consultation is also given. Only medicines and tests are paid. Food courts are available all over the campus.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is amazing with the fests and activities happening here. From the first day of a fresher, the induction which includes tour of the city and other events is what makes the college life interesting from the first day. There are over 50 clubs and societies in which you can enroll, and you can improve yourself. If you perform well in any category, you will get a chance to represent your college outside also.

  • Lovely Professional 'mediocre' university

    To be honest this college was not my first choice I attempted IPMAT exam for admission in IIM Indore but couldn't crack it. So I went through lot of websites on internet and came across LPU. They were providing this course under 15 lakhs whereas other colleges like Nirma had fees up to 30 lakhs. When I came to University I was amazed to see it's beautiful campus, large and surrounded by gardens and trees. People from all over India are there in LPU and there is no ragging.     My overall experience in LPU Jalandhar is average. It has balanced exposure between academics and sports. The factor that made me choose this University is that a lot of companies visit here for hiring.
