NIT Durgapur Faculty Profile

The faculty of my department is well known for their knowledge and contribution to the field. All the professors hold PhDs from reputed Institutes like IITs, IISc and foreign universities. They bring together their learning’s as well as years of experience with them. Classes are conducted in a mix of blackboard and PPTs. The faculty always engages with the students in discussions during the class to ensure even participation of all students. Faculty focuses on concept clarity and doubt clearing for better understanding of the subjects. The teacher to student ratio is very good. Faculty members have the offices with the department or the Main Academic Building so connecting to them outside of class is very easy.Read Full Review

In NIT Durgapur, there are 25 to 30 teachers and professors. They are highly qualified. Almost all have done PhD in their domain. The professors explain every topic in such a manner that the topics can be visualized and easily understood. They prepare presentations and PPTs for making us understand the topics more clearly. The teacher to student’s ratio is nice. We can say it is around 1:50. The professors are very interactive.Read Full Review

All the faculty members are highly qualified and have different teaching skills. Most of the professors teach in a very concept based approach. Most of them provide the course PPT’s and other necessary study materials. The teacher student ratio is quite satisfactory and mostly the teachers are always available. All the teachers of my department are friendly and promote active participation of students while teaching. They are always available to answer student's queries through mail and also through meeting in their cabins.Read Full Review
