SPIT Mumbai Faculty Profile

The faculty is a highly subjective matter. I believe that the senior faculty here is quite experienced and good at what they do. Most of them have a Ph.D. or are pursuing one. But some of the new faculty that has come in is not up to the mark. Most of our classrooms have a sense board, smart board, and the mode of teaching depends upon the faculty. The senior faculties are skilled and can solve new problems and doubts too. I am not aware of the exact teacher student ratio, but there are at least 3 teachers for every course. Faculty is highly knowledgeable and expert in their domains. Personally, I wish they were less strict and listened to students more but I understand that handling so many students is a tough task. They're forever there to help you out and solve your doubts if you stay attentive and behave nicely with them. We have digital boards thus mostly PPTs are used to teach everything. Moreover, the faculty shares these PPTs with students to study for exams too. The faculty keeps on pushing students for practical applications and to take part in competitions.Read Full Review

The faculty members are well educated. They are well accustomed to handling large crowds and they teach pretty well. They use PowerPoint presentations, group discussions and many other study materials. I like the problem solving abilities of the faculties. The student teacher ratio is pretty decent..Read Full Review
