Assam Engineering College Guwahati Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The campus is very big but it is open campus so many people live near the college many public vehicles go from the college road. The infrastructure of college is nice but little old. The college is located in the Guwahati city itself and the local people near the college are very nice and helpful. The classrooms are decent with seating capacity of approximately 80 to 90 students. In the college, there is a big library but not central library but library is nice and mostly all books, which you need, are available. There are many labs and all the labs are well maintained. The auditorium of the college is not nice it is old auditorium with less seating capacity but soon there will be a new auditorium for which work is going on. There is a college canteen in where food of good quality with affordable price is served. The sports facilities are also nice there are many sports played by the students and in the college week inter hostel sports is also organized. There is an Ayurvedic hospital at the walking distance from the college so for any medical emergency students go to the hospital. The security of the college is nice and every hostel has two wardens that look after the hostel. I like the location of the college.

The overall campus life is nice. In starting days, I didn't like the campus life but now it is nice. The college crowd is average. Yes, there are many clubs in the college and all are active clubs now I am not any part of the club but soon I will join club. Many workshops are organized many sports events, cultural week are organized. Festival like Saraswati Puja, Diwali, Holi, and Satyanarayan Puja celebrated in the college and the theirs is an annual fest, which named Pyrokynesis, which is organized in the month of February. The main academic block of Assam Engineering College consists of many departments but for the department of Chemical Engineering and for the department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering there are different blocks. There is a block for the 1st year students known as NAT (New Assam Type) building. Infrastructure in Assam Engineering College needs a lot of improvement. Sports facilities for indoor Sports in Assam Engineering College are not that good because there is no indoor stadium in the college but a new indoor stadium is under construction. Outdoor sports facilities in the college are pretty nice.

My experience in the college is pretty nice because the seniors and the faculties are very helpful and always available to discuss the problems we are facing. The infrastructure in Assam Engineering College is also not that bad so I love here in Assam Engineering College and there are always 4 to 5 buses which connect us to the main city of Guwahati so we don’t face any issues of travelling. There are many clubs in the college which are really active and always in search of new talent.Read Full Review

The campus academic blocks is very well structured, huge, and beautiful. It gives an aesthetic vibe. The campus area is very huge with hostels. Most of classrooms are normal. Some of classrooms have more advanced faculties. The library is very good with large number of books. Labs are above average. Auditorium is not very big. Canteen provides average food but food is hygienic. The sports facilities are also good. There are huge fields in the campus.

Different types of festivals are celebrated in AEC Guwahati such as teacher’s day, Gandhi Jayanti, Saraswati Puja, Diwali, Independence, Republic Day, etc. There are different types of clubs that encourage the students to participate in sport and extra curriculum activities.
