University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Bangalore

The boy's hostel was at the city campus and the girls hostel is located at the Jnana Bharathi, Bangalore University. The boy’s hostel was old and the rooms were not that great. Small could have still been manageable but the tables and cupboards are almost over and I hope they change at least that if they don’t want to renew the hostel. The hostel had students of all religions, states, and all the festivals were celebrated in the hostel. Food was not mandatory and we could manage it on our own. I decided to avoid the hostel food as I was done with the hostel food during my grad period. I wish I could comment about the food part but since I had that just twice or thrice can’t throw much light on that.Read Full Review

My parents laid this condition that they will send me Bangalore only if I stay at the hostel. For the first time in my life, I saw that the hostel was not inside the campus. Secondly the hostel was so old that it looked like a haunted building. I used to video call my parents daily and show them the condition. In the middle of the second semester, they agreed with me to leave the hostel and stay in a PG close to the college. The college is 100 years old and still looks fresh and the hostel which was just 20 years old look like was built in a primitive era.Read Full Review
