The New Horizon College became operational from the year 1998 onwards. The New Horizon College has 2 campuses: Marathalli and Kasturi Nagar. The New Horizon College Marathalli’s (NHCM) location is traced to Ring Road in the Indian state of Karnataka’s capital city, Bangalore. Indeed, the College has a strategic location, with several IT giants in the vicinity at the city’s IT corridor.
The College bears affiliation with the Bangalore University. The Karnataka Government has, also, given the necessary sanctions for the NHCM’s formation.
At NHCM, there is emphasis on improving the quality of education, along with the holistic development of the budding professionals. The mission is to create a student base of world-class professionals for them to excel in fields of their choice.
The College offers an array of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Under the undergraduate programs, the aspirants can opt for the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), and Bachelor of Business Administrations (BBA) ones. The College’s undergraduate courses offer the pupils a choice in 3 streams: Global, Professional, and Executive.
In postgraduate courses, the College has the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program.
Currently, the College is gearing for accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
In the year 2016, the Higher Education Magazine gave the NHCM the award for Karnataka’s most promising education institution for UG courses in Computer Applications, Commerce, and Management.
For skill-building, the NHCM has contemporary teaching methodologies. As part of the students’ practical education, they are encouraged to take part in workshops and case studies, where they get opportunities to interact with fellow members. Outbound learning, company-based projects, and business simulations are other initiatives of the College.
Taking into consideration the need for greater student-industry interface, the NHCM arranges for industrial visits, guest lectures, conferences, seminars, and workshops, regularly. During these sessions, the industry leaders can guide the pupils for brightening their career prospects.

That said, the New Horizon College Marathalli Library contains all the resources to aid learning. In all, the students can avail a range of information services for meeting the needs of the dynamic academic fraternity.
The College Library contains a mix of electronic and printed resources. There are databases, books, course material, journals, books, audio-visual aids, CD-ROMs, DVDs, previous years’ question papers, project reports, conference proceedings, bound volumes, training manuals, and case studies – among others.
Presently, the library is equipped with more than 10000 volumes of books. Besides, there are business magazines, e-journals, multimedia resources, print journals, and newspapers.
To widen the exposure of the students at NHCM, the College has entered into a partnership with CMQ3E’s Cluster President, Rouen France. Moreover, the NHCM has a tie-up with Schneider Electric. And as part of this collaboration, the College houses the Indo-French Center of Excellence (specializing in Electricity, Automation, and Energy). Through such partnerships, the College can have student-exchange and faculty-exchange programs.
As per the New Horizon College Marathalli admission procedure, the approval of the Bangalore University is the norm. Further, the candidate selection is only on merit basis. The College accepts online applications for the courses. However, the students have to furnish the required documents, along with the filled application form. Further, only correct information should be given in the application form, or the pupil could face disqualification. After the students are allotted seats, they have to show their original documents for verification purposes.
The New Horizon College Marathalli attendance record of the students has to be minimum 75% in each subject. Only then, they are given permission to appear for the semester-end exams. If the student fails to meet the minimum attendance requirement in one or more subjects, then they are not allowed to appear for the examination at the end of the respective semester. Then, they have to re-apply for admission to the respective semester of the given year.
