SVCE Kanchipuram Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The campus is spread in 100 acres of land with 5 classrooms, blocks, etc. Each block consists of 3 floors and we also have separate blocks for each department. Infrastructure wise it is maintained in a good manner. The class rooms strength is 60 students with good desks for 2 each and projectors and screen. Facilities like library where many books are available as well as several seminar halls are also there. These are used in events. A big multipurpose hall and many more things are also available. We have 2 big canteens where many varieties are available. There is a dispensary where you can visit if you aren't feeling well. The sports ground as well indoor sports arena is also available. For Transport we have both AC and non AC buses going over 30 to 40 routes. My favorite place is the place outside the marine block it is really peaceful and cool with benches.

I would say my overall campus life at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering is kind of satisfying with all kinds of fun as well as important things that I have discovered. College does not have a lot of intakes every year. The maximum students per year admitted are not more than 1,200 students. This is why placement rate is also high. The college has many clubs and I'm part of speaker's forum, curtain call as well as care club. We really have fun in all these types of club activities. They arrange many events throughout the years. The entire campus spans about 100 acres, so it is a pretty large campus for strength of 4500 Students. The campus is green and very clean. They have a large group of staff for keeping the campus clean. The labs are well maintained with new, functional equipment most of the time. Sufficient tools, kits, assistants will be available all the time. You have a large Library where you can borrow books for free (will have to pay fine upon failure to renew) and the library is equipped with centralised AC. Then, there is a large and spacious Multi-Purpose Hall for conducting Hackathons, delivery speeches, cultural events, etc. Seminar hall and Conference hall are also there for small club events and guest lecturers. They often organise guest lectures by industry experts and alumni in these spaces. Then they have a large Cricket ground which is very well maintained with a good College Cricket team. There is a Football ground too but it is not that much maintained comparing to the Cricket field. There is Tennis Court, Basketball Court, and Volleyball Court too.

I really loved my time in SVCE Kanchipuram. You may find it overwhelming in the beginning but you'll love it after a while and will miss it when you leave. The people, the experience, the ambience, everything will make you fall in love with the College. You can enjoy while studying which other Colleges lack. There are a lot of National clubs like NCC, NSS, YRC, RRC, etc. and other departmental clubs too where you'll have events happening throughout the week. The College supports extracurricular activities like sports. It has a competitive sporting team across all the sports. ‘Highways’ is the College’s flagship cultural event that lasts for 3 days. Nothing is more pleasant than exploring a library. There is also a departmental library. The timings for the central library are from morning 8:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M in the evening. There are also digital libraries available which have e- resources including the NPTEL course which is newly introduced. You can take up to seven books and have to renew it weekly or else you will have to pay a fine. There are other facilities available as well according to the requirements of the students.

There are many active clubs like Rotaract club, eco club, photography club, music club, dance club, care club, NSS, YRC, NCC, Red ribbon, etc. Also department clubs are also active like ‘compute to compete’ and ‘ACE’ from the CSE department. Also, there is an Entrepreneurship promotion and incubation center which helps entrepreneurs.
