SVCE Kanchipuram Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

Hostel is good and infrastructure wise all rooms are well furnished and maintained. There is good cleaning of rooms. The only thing which is a bit disappointing is the food. The quality of food is below average and it could be improved for both boys and girls. Hostels have some strict rules that are flexible and are much needed. 5 out pass is given per month to students. Hostels are available for both girls and boys, separately. Rooms become leaky during rainy season but are quite spacious. Since intake has been increased, new blocks are being built. Not much of activities from College side but you'll have Hostel Day once a year and it'll be fun with delicious food. Food on regular days is not up to the mark. There will always be enough food but they don't really taste delicious. But you'll have snacks, tea and other things too. Hostel food timings are flexible. Hygiene could be improved. The hostel fee is around Rs. 95,000/- per year, including food. The hostel timings are strict, where boys and girls cannot go out after 6:00 PM. They need to get permission in order to go outside.Read Full Review

I am a day scholar but all I do know about the hostel is that there is a separate block for girls’ hostels and they can't go outside after 6 and without parents’ permission. I would suggest that students should visit the hostel itself for better insight before joining.Read Full Review
