It's a Good Campus and you can get to explore a lot of things in your journey of 4-5 years in the IIT. You have a lot of places to explore in the city of Varanasi as well and this IIT is as Good as an old IIT's moreover this institute has a 100 years old alumni base so you get a very good alumni contacts which will help in your journey of 4-5 years definitely also seniors out here are really helpful and you can seek them for your future guidance in any field. Don’t reject this IIT just keeping a reason of Relatively Old-Infrastructure, Lesser Air Conditioning Facilities and Partially Open Campus.

The Courses are taught by highly qualified professors who are helpful and will help you if you have any doubts and branch change option is there in 1st and 2nd Semester so you can get good Cumulative Performance Index and change to branch of your interest, every course has relative grading and so if you have a good idea over concepts then you can easily get good grades in a course. Professors are highly helpful to you in any regards and will guide you well for your research career as well if your interest lies there. The Courses taught by professors is of very good standard and they teach the concepts to the depth and clear your doubts time to time, some courses have labs which are good enough with equipments and tutorials are there in few courses where special classes happen and tutor who is a Research Scholar i.e., Ph.D pursing student or Masters pursing Student clears the doubts of a concepts and solves the Tutorial Sheet given for a particular part of a Course like for 1 Concept.

TPC i.e., Training and Placement Cell of IIT-BHU is very good that Some of the Best Packages are there in Both Core and Non-Core Jobs. A lot of companies come for campus placement.

The Hostels are old fashioned but Good and All the Places of the Campus are not Air-conditioned it doesn't mean that campus is bad and there are new hostels like DG-2/Satish Dhawan, Aryabhatta, Morvi-2, Dhanraj Giri New, and Nivedita but rest are not as new as others.

The Buildings are quite old fashioned and most of the old hostels don't have lifts but they are great with beautiful lawns with flowers and canteens of hostel have good food to eat, Lecture Theatres have lifts but are not air-conditioned but are great in terms of their facilities like charging sockets at every bench, Wi-Fi routers in every 2-3 meters and same for department buildings but few departments have AC Halls, Campus Roads, etc. are good.

IIT Campus in its one Academic Year has many Fests like Kashiyatra- Annual Socio-cultural Fest of IIT(BHU), Technex- Annual Techno-Management Fest, Spardha- Annual Sports Fest, and apart from this many other events like Theme Launches, DJ Nights in Grounds, Film, and Media Council Weekend happen here in the campus and the campus is always lively with an event almost every week or 10 days, there are lot of clubs and councils, so you get to explore a lot of things and you can go into the area of interest, SCS(Sakha) - Student Counselling Services a Faculty Headed Student Council Body of the Campus helps Freshers and they also conduct a lot of sessions, they help in overall development of a person with its different verticals and councils services, apart from this you have your own department society and it's annual fest and a lot more to list, many competitions as well.
