To be honest I miss my college. Though this is my last year of the degree, I have many beautiful memories with the college, but still if I take a look at what it has given me till the date, It's really nostalgic. In 4 years of Engineering, one has to balance textbook knowledge with practical knowledge. And DYPCOE, so many factors help you in every possible way to keep the level equal to both kinds of knowledge. From attending lectures in the classroom to performing practicals in the labs, every aspect is no less in enhancing your learning experience. Huge campus, all the events celebrated, all the knowledge you gain with togetherness is the strength of DY Patil College of Engineering Akurdi.

Ask any engineer about studies, he'll just put forward a long list of subjects in front of you. In this college, the teacher staff really does pay attention to it while teaching. Mock tests, unit tests, regular assignments provided by the faculty, really does keep check on the growth of every student. And what does a student want from any college? To provide him with better academic resources. That is the main focus of every student. And to say this, I made the right choice. DYPCOE provides you with all the resources that have power to make one scholar, academically and practically as well. Academically, DYPCOE is as good as one should be no doubt in that.

The faculties in DYPCOE are regular with assigning projects and assignments to the students. They give their best and focus on how to provide students with practical as well as theory knowledge. Though practical knowledge is important in engineering, one cannot totally ignore the theory. Those faculty members with experience in various fields always try to put it to the welfare of students; even then non teaching staff has contribution in high ratings of the faculty. They keep practical labs well maintained and are always ready to help students with the practicals in their way. Many of the professors hold doctorate degrees in various subjects. The guidance they provide with the help of their experience is something which is not worth missing.

No need to mention, but I proudly can tell you that, here in college every year some of the biggest companies in India come for recruitment. Every student from different faculty has good scope and opportunity for placement. There arises a healthy competition among students which provides the best student to get recruited in the company. DY Patil Akurdi Placement cell has a special department for training students. The students are groomed in every possible way in that department. Companies in different fields come every year for placement. Companies such as Volkswagen, HouseWala CapGemini, etc.

I came from another city to study in DYPCOE. So staying in a hostel was the affordable option for me. The college has 2 hostels, one for girls and other one for boys. Both hostels provide meals 3 times a day including tea and coffee. Avoiding students' inconvenience of the transport, the girls hostel is right in front of the college whereas the boy's hostel is at a little walking distance from the college. The food is very good as everyone says but I never like the mess food. That is just my case though. The hostel provides different facilities such as regular maintenance of the rooms, common study room and entertainment room. The college area is always kept neat and tidy. There is not much greenery that is because the hostel and college is in the market area and it is rather a posh one.

No second thought about the college infrastructure. The classrooms are big and spacious. The college has 2 libraries which are big. The library also has a wi-fi facility and plenty of books, covering almost every subject of engineering. DYPCOE has a big sports ground, which is really a good thing for me, since I enjoy playing outdoor games. There are 2 auditoriums in the college which are used to conduct different competitions, events and festivals. Both the auditoriums are well maintained. College also has a study room and during exams it is kept open all the time for students to study. College does not have a gym facility.

To be honest the college has a big campus area. During events and festivals, they are celebrated with all the enthusiasm in the premises. Fun and education both are well balanced in this college. The college environment really cheers you up every time you enter it. Lots of events and different days are celebrated during the annual festival. During such events, it is a special opportunity to create a great bond between seniors and juniors. Though the college campus is huge, no compromise is done to keep it well maintained and hygienic. That is what makes it more beautiful and pleasant.
