My Experience - BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology, Kolkata

Overall Rating
A 25 years established college with excellent average placement and located over a top notch place nearby airport, stations making it suitable for more companies to visit. Even an excellent location for students to spend time nearby malls, eco-park, etc. Even college's got good cafeteria and canteen for students and staffs. A college to look over the betterment over various streams.
 

Academics Rating
Besides other facilities and stuffs, each individual streams have their personal state of excellence over certain motives. Students seldom get motivated. Though there's quite a good amount of pressure over courses, projects, assignments, etc. But we get to learn one or the other stuffs on each and every college days.
 

Faculty Rating
I am currently in 1st year. And our college got some quality faculties with certain facilities over pursuing our own interests. Got experienced teachers with quality teaching techniques and skills that provides us with pretty good amount of knowledge and helps us providing extra classes and even guides students in labs and project throughout these years.
 

Placement Rating
Our college got an average placement of 80-90%. A quality Placement Cell for thoroughly guiding students and 95% of the students gets to do internships. Many companies do visit our campus and students get good opportunities and placements.
 

Hostel Rating
College has nearby hostels for both boys as well as for girls with several facilities for the betterment of the students. Good accommodation and cleanliness in and around the hostels with a park available within the boys hostel area. Meals and rooms seem to be moderate and the hostel fees is reasonable accordingly.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Mainly different blocks from different years and different streams 6-7 story buildings with lift system installed in each of the buildings for staffs and students. Classrooms with great accommodation with well maintained buildings, staff rooms, labs, games room with indoor games equipments, playgrounds, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Our college's got excellent and friendly campus. You get humble seniors who guide you regarding any kind of aspect. More over teachers are friendly too and they even do play with us during the break and after college. We got several clubs arranging numerous events throughout the year and over that we have fests where students participate, compete, and enjoy to their highest. Valuable activities are also conducted in every week.

    My college review on BPPIMT is that it is just an average college with very small campus and enough good faculties. I choose this college and now currently in 2nd year ECE student because this college focuses more on studies than other physical activities like sports and games. And I will suggest this college to you if you only want studies and interested in sports.... Read Full Review

    The college is fine in its own way. Situated about a kilometer away from Kolkata International airport, location is better than other colleges. Overall great experience to study here. Faculties are good too. They help us here. Academics are good too and it comes under MAKAUT, so be prepared for surprises.... Read Full Review

    Currently I am a second year student of Computer Science and Engineering course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management & Technology popularly known as BPPIMT. I find the institution conductive to skill and career development. Well known for its overall good placements, knowledgeable faculties and secured location, very near to the Kolkata Airport.     I am currently a 2nd year student of B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at B.P. Poddar institute of management and technology known as BPPIMT also and I can surely say that this college has been one of the best decisions of my life.     I'm currently 2nd year ECE student, yet now my experience about this college is average, the reason for pursuing B. Tech in this college is that it pays more attention on study than other activities like sports but also giving preference towards Tech fest, cultural fest etc. Overall this college is good and I recommend this college if you don't like sports and other activities and want to focus more on studies then this will be best college for you....
