Life at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore

Overall Rating
VIT has an amazing campus life. It has campus of around 300 acres and is a green and clean campus. It has many sports amenities from football ground to volleyball, swimming, lawn tennis, and many more. I chose this college because of its ranking and its placement offers. VIT is gradually improving day by day for its academic performance.
 

Academics Rating
There are various branches in VIT. We need to give an entrance test called VITEEE where our rankings in the result decide which branch we would be getting. There are 5 categories in VIT admission process where category 1 has a fees range of 3.5 lakhs per annum and category 5 is about 6 lakhs per annum.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here at VIT are helpful and very well educated. Many of the faculties have graduated from top government colleges and done Ph.Ds in their respective fields. The faculties are always ready to welcome us for any help we need and teaches very well. They also provide and guide the students other than the academics.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are given from the 7th semester that is 4th year. Students can either get pre placement offers from their internships or by campus interviews. VIT assures 100% placement.
 

Hostel Rating
It has 5 hostels with proper rooms and infrastructure. It had 2 beds, 4 beds, and 6 bed rooms with AC and non AC type. It has a Wi-Fi connection from 6 AM to 12 midnight.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are three academic blocks in the campus and each block had around 8 floors. It is a huge building with various rooms including practical labs and research places. There are classrooms of size of around 70 students with a projector at every class. The labs have centralised AC systems. Many computers and laptops are present in labs where it is required.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is great. Students have a wide range of options in respect to outdoor games and events. Almost every 2 days, some cultural events are conducted by the clubs of the college. There are more than 30 clubs active. There are 2 big fests are conducted, Technovit is the technical fest which is conducted during the month of October and Vibrance is the cultural fest conducted during the month of march.

    My overall experience was very interesting. The crowd is very diverse, and the experience is very eventful. Events are happening throughout the year in the Institute. You get to network with people from all around the world and the faculty is very learned and helpful. Vellore Institute of Technology is extremely reputed and has existed for over 35 years.     Overall VIT Vellore is a great choice, as it met my expectations with its cool infrastructure and better education facilities. There is great exposure of academics and nightlife here. You will be given FFCS (fully flexible credential system) where you can choose your timetable and select faculties.
