First of all, there was a lot of buzz on the internet about NSUT, which made me think that this will be a good place for further studies, and I will say that I am very happy with the decision I made. There are many good sides to it; starting from the exposure this college provides through clubs and societies in different fields where the student can learn from and integrate things in their lives. I, myself, being part of various clubs find it to be one of the wisest decisions I took that led me to making new friends and opened up new opportunities on the way. The studies and overall environment is also good but the attendance might cause an issue for some students as it is 75 percent. While talking about the placements, this college provides some of the best with the average salary of 15 LPA.

I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science specialised in Mathematics and Computing, which is a relatively new branch and is available in very few colleges. But brings in a lot of opportunities as it helps understand the coding part much better. To get admission in NSUT, you need to have a decent rank in JEE Mains examinations that are held in the months of February and April. The better you score, the better are your chances of getting a better branch. This exam could be given by anyone who passed 12th examination. Anyone who passed out from Delhi region gets good reservation as 85 percent seats are reserved for Delhi region while the other 15 percent are made available to outer region students. Coming back to my branch, it provides decent placement for getting in the industry. The average package was 15 LPA last time which might fluctuate a little due to recession.

The faculty of NSUT does hold good degrees from some of the most prestigious universities around the globe and prominent colleges like IITs and NITs. The teachers here are well educated and about 70 percent of them do pay attention to the students and help them learn new things while the remaining ones don't try as much. So majorly, there's a benefit in learning from them. They use the infrastructure provided by the college very well to make the students learn effectively.

Yes, we do have a Placement Cell and they do take different sessions about various opportunities in the market and the skills that are going to be required for one to get placed. It really helps students get placed in the campus itself. They make sure that the students learn the basic skills that they need, which further helps students to gain an edge in the market.

The hostel life is quite decent with decent facilities being availed at affordable pricing. It is at par with the hostel standards with decent food and good rooms. We also have badminton courts inside the hostel and they really help us feel rejuvenated.

The campus academic block is divided into six different buildings for the specific set of requirements and subjects. We have labs and computer centres for learning the practical aspects of the subject with the right amount of tools available for us to learn. In some cases or subjects, you might not get the tools that you require to complete an experiment and that’s something that needs improvement. Otherwise, it provides a good opportunity to learn the subjects practically.

I love the campus life with the fests, the clubs, the societies, and the connectivity this college gives you. Inter college fest ‘Moksha’ is held every year in the month of March or April with a massive crowd that comes to experience this. There is a list of different societies that work in their specific domains and the learning within never stops. I would definitely advice everyone to get into the clubs and societies of the college to get a good exposure. Another fest that is only for the students of NSUT takes place in the month of October and is named "Resonanz".
