Review of National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar

Overall Rating
I have joined the college in year 2023. It has all the facilities for the student. It is located in Jamshedpur and city itself a vey known place. You will get a NITian tag making your parents and society proud. Also its placement is amazing and among the top NIT in placement point of view. The first day was amazing here.
 

Academics Rating
The college offer bachelor of technology and I am in electrical engineering in bachelor of technology and got admission in year 2023. One needs to give JEE Mains exam and should have a very good percentile to around 98 to have admission here in this college. The cut-off for noncore branch is around 99.5 percentile.
 

Faculty Rating
The entire professor are highly qualified. Most of them are Ph.D graduate and most of them are from IITs and NITs. Professors are really kind and cooperative and help you in your academic in all possible ways. Academic curriculum is quite strict and exam happens regularly. You will like most of the professor. Some professors are somehow different and you will not like their teaching style.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, placement of the college is amazing and can be compared to new IITs. In placement data it is among the top NITs. Its average package was 14 lakh last year and for electrical branch it was 18 lakhs.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostel 1 is for the first year students and you need to share it with one more students. Means basically it's double sharing room. From second year you will be allocated a single separate room for each student. Hostels are good and for 3rd and 4th year students it's new hostel J and K which is very recently made.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have a new academic building DLHC which is very recently made and have fully air conditioner class room and it is the only NIT to have AC class rooms. Most of the building are newly made and the campus is huge with the land size of 350 acres and is fully green campus with trees planted all over. There is an open air theatre presents in the DLHC.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life of NIT Jamshedpur is better than other institutions. Fests happen regularly. Ojass is our technical fest and India's second largest tech fest. Culfest is our cultural fest and urja is our sports fest. We have various clubs like daksh, phoenix, revanta, pcon, rays, drift, etc. and each club has different domains for students and students can choose them according to their interests.

    Overall Rating
    This was the best institute and branch according to my JEE score. As it is a central government institute, it provides a vast range of placement opportunities and internships. The campus is decent with a lot of greenery. For first year students, the curriculum is very tight and hostel timings are very strict. Hostels are very good and provide all the necessary amenities.   • NIT, Jalandhar : Better Than My Expectations

    Earlier, I was not about to take admission here but as the situations changed after my JEE Mains result, this institute was offering me the best I could get based on my rank, Information Technology. I searched about this institute and got mixed reviews. Somehow I finally decided to take admission here.
