As per NIRF ranking, it comes under the top 50 colleges in India and placement wise, it holds 20th rank so, it is better than most of the lower NITs and IITs. Things like a good infrastructure, on campus placement rate, faculties’ standards, good opportunities in research field, healthy competition among all students, coding hub, and outstanding campus life make it a worthy choice.

BIT MESRA, also known as Birla Institute of Technology, is one of the most reputed colleges among all engineering colleges in India. As I am enrolled in B.Tech, it gives multiple of opportunities through companies all over India, ECE (electronics and communication engineering) is known for being the toughest branch across all the other branches of engineering. One must qualify JEE Mains to get into this college. For top branches, up to 50k rank seats can be availed, every year this exam takes place all across India. Motive must be to get a good on campus placement and a deep understanding of the course that has been taken.

Faculties, here are well qualified, if we consider in terms of teaching, each of the branches have a good number of professors. They hold plenty of degrees and qualifications. One can check on the website of the college about all the teaching members. The teaching style is satisfactory as they use both PPTs and boards, some have qualified prestigious examinations like NET-JRF, GATE, and many more, and some are members of big projects.

Yes, we do have a placement cell, the college provides good placements. The percentage of on-campus selection is 85%. The highest package offered was 58 LPA and the lowest offered is 6 LPA. Top companies that visit are Amazon, Google, Oracle, Flipkart, etc. There are numerous summer internships held each year during vacations. If you are really good at your skills, no matter what, the placement is in your hand.

Yes, residential facilities are available here. The hostel life is quite good but rooms are not that large in dimension. In first year of the college, you will get a room with double sharing. Infrastructure wise, hostels are spacious enough; there is a home playground in each of the hostels. Volleyball and badminton courts are available. Also, a common room containing a table tennis table, carrom, and TV is available. Intra-hostel tournaments are held every year for all of the games available in the campus. Food quality provided by mess is not that good, will rate 3 out of 5. Proper sanitation is being provided every day. Overall, a satisfactory experience.

College is spread over 700 acres in area wise, a classic look of the main building makes it more fascinating. Blocks are there for every lab and its related course, there are over 1000+ computers. There are facilities like robotic lab, VLSI designing, a block for space and rocketry department, cat hall, an auditorium, classrooms with ACs installed, and well equipped labs. But some of the instruments and devices are of no use. For games and sports, sports complex is there containing all the essentials of sports and a multi gym.

It is the greenery and aesthetic beauty of the college, which attracts crowds the most. You will adore the campus till you are there in the college. Apart from this, there are numerous fests and clubs available here. The most popular ones are the pantheon, bitotsav, aagman, etc. Clubs here are in good numbers. Sometimes it seems difficult to get into them, as they take interviews to select the new members. Quizzes, drama, music, instrumentals, vocals, robotics, architects, art, poetics, debates, finances, kavi sammelans, and short films, are the major activites conducted by them. Some of the popular clubs are leo, dhwani, ehsaas, rotract, and many more. For social service, there are quality teams working for the rural areas. Fests attract huge numbers of crowds every year from all other engineering colleges all over India including IITs and NITs.
