Review of RV College of Engineering

Overall Rating
So I'm first year student, currently it’s been almost 8 months in the college. So far it is been good, because of 2-3 events and hackathons are currently ongoing in our college. I chose this college because it is very reputed in the whole state and it gives many opportunities to do better in life as placements compared to other college in Bengaluru are very good here according to statistics. I recommend this college for those who want to do well in academics, and further studies.
 

Academics Rating
So I'm currently in Electronics and Communication branch, this branch deals with the manufacturing and designing of circuits or in micro and nanotechnology which is booming these days. For eligibility you need to write COMEDK and get a rank of 1300 or less, if you have studied for 7 years in Karnataka then you can give KCET and you need to get a rank of 1500 which is cutoff rank. The motivation to learn Electronics and Communication would be that the semiconductor industry will boom in future and it has a large range of career options.
 

Faculty Rating
Telling honestly that faculties in RV College are not that good as expected they just teach and go and run behind exams, which I don't think is the ultimate goal for students. They don't teach for our learning they teach for exams only. Some of the faculties are very good they put their all efforts to teach and make us learn topics. They are only 5% of total facilities which are good. The style of teaching differs from teacher to teacher. Some teacher put their efforts to write on board and write and some of them just read from the ppt and go.
 

Placement Rating
I guess we have placement cell, but honestly speaking I don't know much about it.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes I'm a hosteller, hostel rooms are very convenient with chairs, tables and cupboards facilities given. The food in mess in average but breakfast is very good, every night they give a dessert (ice cream, milkshake, sweet etc). Infrastructure of hostel in good and toilets and bathrooms are also clean. Advantage of being is hostel is that all your friends stay in hostel together.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of our college is average, but there is construction in our college going on which I hope is good. So every branch has building, with all the labs required in each branch. The labs are good, but some lab computers are very slow which I mean are very low quality.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life in RV College is something different because there will be flashmobs, workshops going on. The crowd in RV College is about 5K approximately, In our college there are many clubs which cover all the cultural and technical activities, the clubs here are very enthusiastic and gives opportunities in all manner. Big events are organised in the college twice or thrice a year.

    The overall experience at the college was amazing. The college takes exam every month but it builds your character as well. I chose this college because it is well reputed and has well qualified teachers as well.     RVCE is a very well-known and respected institute of Bangalore. Since I have been living in Bangalore for the past 13 years it was on my list. I chose RVCE because the placement statistics were really impressive, and it is situated in the IT hub Bangalore. However, after joining the college I realized how placement oriented the college is and how much academic pressure they can put.     I personally like every aspect of the college, right from their curriculum to their faculty. There are many opportunities for students aspiring to be great engineers.
