A general overview of IIT BHU

Overall Rating
As IIT BHU is one of the oldest colleges. It organises different fests like cultural (Kashiyatra), technical (Technex), sports (Spardha), and many others from many years therefore there scale is much larger than other fests, which gives you a better platform to showcase your talent. The alumni network is very strong and so does the placement cell.
 

Academics Rating
To be honest you have to work on your own to understand the lecture. If you ask doubts to any professor then they will definitely give you answer but will they give you satisfactory answer that's debatable. Some of the branches have moderate academics like civil, but some others like mechanical, electrical, and meta are pretty tough branches with strict professors. But if you want to ask any professor anything related to academics then they are available all the time.
 

Faculty Rating
All the professors are well certified and have education level personas. But, as I said earlier it doesn't mean that they have the art to convey their message to the same extent. But there are certain professors who have very vivid way of teaching and you would love to attend their lectures.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell of IIT BHU is very good as it has very large alumni network therefore even in the time of recession placement didn't suffer. On the other hand there is no recession in the core fields and many professors generally push to pursue the core field.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel life is the best. Here you are going to make a lot of friends from different branches and states. It would be a good experience to learn and share each other’s culture. There is generally no problem regarding the electricity or water supply. Although rooms are bit smaller for three people in the same room, but after 2 month you are going to feel there is enough space for 5 persons. Each room will be provided with 2 almirah, 2 table & chair, 2 socket, 3 bed, and 2 power sockets.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The institute is old. Therefore the old buildings and departments have not that good infrastructure. Many buildings don't have cameras, but the new buildings are something else such as DG2 and Morvi 2 hostel.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is amazing. There are many fests organised on a grand level that you are going to love. We often celebrate most of the festivals here, and it’s a wholesome experience no matter whether it is Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, or Krishna Janmastmi. As I said earlier the college is ancient therefore the events are also being held for many years therefore they pull a good sum of crowd and celebrities like Darshan Rawal, Deepak Hooda, and many others.

    IIT BHU is currently ranked 10 in NIRF ranking 2024. The college has very good environment for academics and personal development. So many clubs and societies are there to help a student in his / her extracurricular growth. The college has tech clubs like aero modeling, robotics, coding club, and more.     The overall experience at IIT BHU is like dream fulfilling, had a rigorous curriculum, research opportunities and highly educated faculties for the academics. I really like the sports facilities offered by the institute and joyful & memorable experiences at the festivals. But when it comes to hostel life is really get emotional because hostel is the true heart of the students where they live for 4/5 years as their home and friends as siblings.     My overall experience at the institute until now is amazing. The one thing that makes this institute different from other IITs is spirituality and serenity this place holds. Authorities are excessively concerned for mental and physical health of students. Moreover, the faculty members and seniors are also helpful. There is no ragging culture unlike other colleges.
