My life at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada

Overall Rating
I'm happy that I've been graduated from this college. I would also recommend if anybody gets a chance to study in this prestigious university. My overall experience in this college is good.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility to get admission in this college is through Andhra Pradesh EAMCET examination. I got seat in Mechanical Engineering branch through online counseling method. You must be able to qualify the cutoff marks regarding your respective category. One must start preparing for this exam right from eleventh class itself. You can apply for your desired group and course during your online counseling if you exceed the cutoff.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is very well experienced and skilled professors. They are Ph.D holders and few are also graduated from the IITs. They teach us in an understanding manner and clear our doubts regularly. The teacher student ratio here is 6:50. They are available during the campus hours and they are available on mobile also after the campus hours.
 

Placement Rating
Yes we do have a placement cell. Every year the placement coordinator tries to attract big companies to visit and recruit students from all branches. Many IT companies like TATA Consultancy Services, Wipro, Larsen and Turbo, Virtusa, Zoho, Vedanta, Deloitte, Reliance, Cyient, etc. come and hire students. Highest package in 2022 was 14 lakh and average package was around 4 lakh per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes we do have residential facilities i.e. hostel. Hostel Life here is one of the best times I've spent in my life with my friends. Hostel facilities need to be improved. Wi-Fi is provided here. Good drinking water is available. Mess food is of good quality.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Each branch has its own building. It includes classrooms, labs, professor’s cabins, smart labs, etc. They are spread in large areas. Apart from campus buildings other blocks like innovation center, food technology department, Bank, library, post office, canteen, stationary, etc. have their own building. Sports like basketball, volleyball, badminton, and cricket are also having their own separate courts.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life is good and happy. I especially enjoyed a lot during my hostel days. Fests are also held by their respective branches i.e., technical fests. Almost each branch has classroom strength of 50 members. Other events like freshers and farewell parties are also organised here. Special clubs are also there for students so that if any student is facing any problem, the club could help them.

    I've applied to limited Universities. This University was my top priority. The reason for choosing it over others is its reputation. It also has a strong alumni network. Another factor why I chose this University is it provides various facilities to the students. Most of the students from our branch are preparing for GATE and SIM exam.     Getting into this University was one of the most unexpected things that happened to me, and it has shaped me in so many ways. I had great experience like meeting great and friendly seniors, the faculty who is always willing to help, the excellent alumni network who're always ready to guide you through it and so much more.     I chose this university because of my uncle's advice and rank in my EAMCET examination. I was interested in EEE so I got the same branch in this university. My overall experience was good.     The institute is a very reputed university not only in my city but also in the state. The campus life is very comfortable to students. I always hoped to getting selected for this university as it is the best university in the state. I have got selected for the Electrical and Electronics Engineering course.
