Overall Rating
One should definitely choose this Institution, as it is among the national Institutes. It reputation helps us in getting internship experience in good law firms and legal chambers even though one has to go through interview round but, they are preferred by firms.
 

Academics Rating
The academics of the respective institute is a bit vast, one has to attend classes of 5 hours which is mandatory as this university follows the rule of 75% attendance. This course initially grills the students in 1st and 2nd semester, but once you get acquainted there is a feeling of ease, and it ingrains you with a habit of hard work. The best part of the hustle is the university fests which are worth attending.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are very friendly and helpful. They guide and give special attention to technique to write research papers and draft legal articles which hold heavy weight in one's CV. Specially the faculties of Criminal law are the best, they make you feel IPC, CRPC, and evidence law.
 

Placement Rating
As far as I have come across and interacted to my seniors and alumni, the placement is quite good. Here tier 1, 2, 3 law firms are major recruiters. The placement session is quite good and holds up a thrilling experience.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facility is moderate here. In 1st year you will be awarded with single occupancy and in 2 years may be single may be double as per the availability. But, from 3rd year you will have single occupancy. There is no AC in the hostel room, but they are planning to install by 2025. The mess food is quite good as it is run by student run. The menu changes every month.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Majorly there are 5 major buildings, girls’ hostel, boys’ hostel, academic block, administrative block, and library. The library is newly built and it is the centre of attraction of the entire university. It has 4 floors centralised Air conditioners. The library and the Lecture halls are open 24 hours for group discussions and intra-committee debates.
 

Campus Rating
The campus of NLUO is one of the biggest campus as compared to other NLU's, the campus is a bit outer than the main market. There is greenery all around. The university has its own cricket field, football field, lawn tennis court, and sports complex where various indoor games can be played.

    As a first year student who has aspired to study law for a very long time I can attest to the fact that being in a national law university is a very different experience overall and humbling. If I may add, NLUO is one of the good ones of the lot. It is definitely a place where you'll look for opportunities to thrive not just because of the competition you encounter but because of the friends that will push you and people in the college that will inspire you....     Life as a student at NLUO Cuttack is both tough and fun. It offers both academic and non-academic facilities. The university provides a student with a whole bunch of opportunities to progress in the Legal world. A student at this university finds exposure to several employment options, which we may not ordinarily contemplate of.     NLUO is one of the top 10 National Law Universities in India. It is an appropriate place to study law in India. The college not only provides you with academic qualification but also encourages you for extracurricular activity. NLUO has a robust mooting culture which prepares its students to enter confidently into the legal field. The placement records have been impressive since some years.
