Fee Structure of NLUO Cuttack's B.A.LL.B Course

Life as a student at NLUO Cuttack is both tough and fun. It offers both academic and non-academic facilities. The university provides a student with a whole bunch of opportunities to progress in the Legal world. A student at this university finds exposure to several employment options, which we may not ordinarily contemplate of. Seniors and the student community as whole are pretty cooperative and helpful when it comes to mooting activities, academics, competitions etc.

The five-year programs offered here are B.A.LLB and BBA.LLB. I preferred this course because I personally needed something that would enable me to have wider career options. The admission process is simple. One needs to visit university and follow the guidance of the officials.

Tuition fee is Rs. 1,20,000, admission fee is Rs. 10,000, electricity fee is Rs. 17000, hostel fee is Rs. 30,000, library fee is Rs. 10000, and other charges are Rs. 60,000. Total fee is Rs. 2,46, 890 per annum.

Faculty members of NLUO are contractually hired. Faculty members use a mix of teaching techniques by using PPTs, and classroom discussions. Faculty members have strong knowledge in subject areas. They are approachable, student friendly, and good in nature. The teacher to student ratio is good. I have personally fond of all the faculties. They are open to constructive discussions and doubt clearing.

The placement Scenario at NLUO is impressive. Hardworking students often get places at top tier law firms with impressive packages. The internship committee helps students with a good resume to secure internships at tier 1 law firms from 3rd year itself.

There are two boys’ hostels and two girls’ hostels. There is one common mess for all boys and another common mess for all girls in their respective hostels. In addition to that, there is one canteen for each hostel.

Currently as of 2025, NLUO has improved infrastructure. We have one of the largest law libraries in Asia. We have a huge well-equipped academic block and a large modernistic auditorium. The academic block consists of classrooms chambers of faculties, seminar hall, moot court hall, and tutorial rooms. Cultural programs and popular seminars take place in the auditorium. There is admin block where administrative work happens. In addition to all of this, the university has a gym, park, football ground, basketball court, and badminton and tennis court. There is Nescafe shop in the campus along a juice shop, a fast food center. Lastly, a cricket ground, guesthouse and a medical facility is under construction.

The campus life at NLUO is good. The student community is involved in several activities throughout the academic year, starting from sporting activities, academic seminars, and visits of several centers to cultural programmes like the annual Fest 'Kairaan'. Extracurricular activities fill up most of the time during a semester. The university hosts 'Viraj' which is the flagship sports program and 'Kairan' which the annual fest. Apart from this every year second year students organize freshers for the first year students and the fourth year students organize a farewell for the outgoing fifth years. Hence, the cultural committee is good at NLUO. The university crowd is hugely diverse. Students literally come from all parts of the country from various socio cultural backgrounds adding up to the multicultural aspect of the university.
