What Makes NLUO Cuttack a Best choice for Law students?

Overall Rating
I am a first year, to be precise, a 2nd semester student at National Law University Odisha, Cuttack. The space, washrooms and books everything is just amazing. Placements are nice, as obviously being one of the top 10 National Law Universities of India. Overall, it is a nice place to spend your life learning a lot of things.
 

Academics Rating
I chose BBA.LL.B (Honors), a 5 year course where you get law degree along with your bachelor degree. Eligibility criterion is pretty much same for all the NLUs. You have to appear for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) and clear the cutoff for admission in the university. For CLAT eligibility, you should have passed class 11th and appearing/ appeared in Class 12th. The exams are conducted only once in a semester called end semester exams. I feel the academics are pretty nice here. They prepare you for the real life challenges to a major extent.
For BBA.LL.B or B.A.LL.B (5 year courses of the university), you have to pay Rs. 2,56,000 for the university and Rs. 40,000 for the mess. However, certain scholarships are also there for different categories.
 

Faculty Rating
The Faculty of the National Law University Odisha, Cuttack is pretty nice. All the professors, except a few, are really engaging. The PPTs, projectors, and group discussions are used to make class interesting and engaging. The faculty is generally approachable; you can approach them in case of any doubt or difficulty in their respective chambers or in class. They teach you quite politely. Talking about student - teacher ratio it is 1:60. Overall, my experience with the faculty members has been really nice.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is present in National Law University, Odisha. It helps students to secure placements. Even there is an internship committee, which helps students to get the desired internships. Average package is also decent. It is around 12 LPA to 15 LPA. Renowned companies like Indus Law, Khaitan, etc. visit our university for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostels are there. For the first year, you will be allotted a double sharing room and after then you will be given a single room for the next four years. Hostels are separate for both boys and girls. The hostel rules are not so strict. Also, the mess food is pretty decent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is fine, but can be improved to some extent. Campus size is also fine. There is a library, seminar hall, auditorium, and good number of lecture halls. A sports room and adequate facilities are there for sports as well. My favorite place is library, as it gives me mental peace, positive vibes, and motivates me to study. There are university buses for transportation but they don't go everywhere, so you can use local bus services of Odisha, which are very affordable and convenient.
 

Campus Rating
There is a huge campus, where you can walk, organize events, and enjoy them. There are many committees to join and enhance your coordination & leadership skills. Two fests are held annually, one in each semester, known as ‘Hunar’ and ‘Kairaan’, both the fests are amazing. Moreover, you get cult nights & movie nights to enjoy and have fun for some time. Overall, my experience with the university till now has been genuinely good. I would definitely recommend this university to all the aspiring law students.

    Life as a student at NLUO Cuttack is both tough and fun. It offers both academic and non-academic facilities. The university provides a student with a whole bunch of opportunities to progress in the Legal world. A student at this university finds exposure to several employment options, which we may not ordinarily contemplate of.     NLUO is one of the top 10 National Law Universities in India. It is an appropriate place to study law in India. The college not only provides you with academic qualification but also encourages you for extracurricular activity. NLUO has a robust mooting culture which prepares its students to enter confidently into the legal field. The placement records have been impressive since some years.
