National Law University Odisha BA+LLB Review By Shana Roy

As a first year student who has aspired to study law for a very long time I can attest to the fact that being in a national law university is a very different experience overall and humbling. If I may add, NLUO is one of the good ones of the lot. It is definitely a place where you'll look for opportunities to thrive not just because of the competition you encounter but because of the friends that will push you and people in the college that will inspire you.

The five years are divided into 2 semesters each. Six subjects are taught each semester with the option of credit courses and optional provided to the students. The professors are extremely helpful and always willing to share their experiences and knowledge to help the students. Apart from that there are senior students who take up the role of teaching assistants which further help the students gain a fresh perspective regarding the subjects they are taught.

The faculty consists of extremely educated and experienced individuals. Faculty with high educational qualifications who have vast knowledge at their behest, take upon themselves to make sure the students are thorough with all concepts and comfortable to approach them in case they are unable to grasp their teachings. High standards are set for examinations and tests to ensure that students improve and become a better version of themselves.

The infrastructure is not the best and is constantly at danger with heavy rainfalls due to the location of the college. However, there are repairs and construction to ensure the safety and meet the needs of the students and ensure availability of resources to them. The NLUO library being the most recent addition to the infrastructure of the university checks all the boxes with seating capacity that expands over three big air conditioned floors and availability of a wide number of books which are open to students.

The best thing about the college is its campus life hands down. If you like people observing then you will have a joyride and even if you do not there are lots of places on campus where you can sit down and contemplate life decisions. You will find people and food on campus at all times no matter be it 3 am or 3 pm. There is never a dull moment on campus.
