My Life in UPES, Dehradun

Overall Rating
Overall, the university is pretty good. The campus life is actually really wonderful and enjoyable. The facilities provided in the campus can be mediocre for some people, but in my opinion they are mostly decent. The academics are also good and library is really well equipped with almost all the books we will need in this journey. The others should go for this university for its immense facilities and decent placement results.
 

Academics Rating
My course is B.Tech CSE. There are no such entry requirements for this course. Also, there are no eligibility criteria for the same. My motive for enrolling in this course was my passion for computers. I want to build something of my own using the technology. This university provides really great opportunity for my aims as well. The academic blocks are equipped with modern and best teaching tools.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here teach along with guiding the students throughout their academic journey. Some of the faculties are even from top IITs and other big universities. Most of the teachers have a very wonderful style of teaching. They are very concept centric teachers (not just cramming the content of PPTs ).
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell in our university. It really helps the students acquire the job in the industry. It even provides rigorous training for the same.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there is residential facility inside the university. The facilities are not really at the top, and they are kind of average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are a total of 11 academic blocks in the main campus of UPES. The structure is really decent. The classes are well ventilated and equipped with fans. Other facilities are also good but I think some more improvement can be made in the infrastructure of the university.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life here is really wonderful. The scenic beauty around the university is really mesmerizing. There are many fests like Uurja, Spandan, etc., which are held in the university. All of these are really well organized and are really fun. There are also various university clubs like for dance, music, acting, etc.

    Overall the college is better than most private Universities in Uttrakhand. The faculty is good at teaching. UPES provides internship opportunities which are also to be taken in consideration when applying here. I chose UPES because of their placements and the location of college.     In UPES, the teachers are very helpful and the campus ambience is very serene calm and beautiful. It is free from the city rush. It UPES regularly conducts fests and workshops for the students. I found the zero tolerance policy towards the ragging very helpful. You can play sports of your choice. Even if you are a newbie the other students will treat you nicely.... Read Full Review

    Overall, the university has many plus points such as amazing infrastructure, foreign exposure, top-notch tie-ups, knowledgeable faculty, etc. It is definitely the top university in Uttarakhand. Surely, on the pricey side but it has its own perks. The workload is quite a lot though; the students are expected to keep up with many deadlines.
