UPES Dehradun: A Stepping Stone to Build a Successful Tech Career

Overall Rating
I am pursuing B.Tech in UPES Dehradun. Honestly, my campus life has been very good. I’ve made good friends in my University and it helped me improve my personality. Sports and cultural activities are organised by the management. It was all good and worthy to remember. It was such a great experience. My Institution is different too because of its view it’s situated in the mountains, which make the University life more fun.
 

Academics Rating
I choose B.Tech with specialisation in Data Science beacuse I like to play with data and it’s fun to work with it. I’ve learned many things from this course and hope to get placed in a good company. We had mid semester exams and end semester exams in a semester. The admission can be taken by JEE Main mains result or by giving UPES exam. And they also provide scholarship as well.
The total fee of UPES Dehradun is around Rs. 18,00,000/- to Rs. 20,00,000/- for B.Tech course. You could get scholarship based on your marks scored in entrance exam and 12th boards, which could continue if you score good in semester exams. There is no discounts to specific category students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of this University is awesome. They are so good at teaching, you can understand the concepts very deeply, and they help you to imply them. They also help students in their projects & assignments. You can go to any faculty in their respective verticals and get your doubts cleared. Faculties are soft spoken and well-educated from reputation Institutions.
 

Placement Rating
Placements of the University are quite good. The average package is around 6 LPA and the highest is around 50 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the University provides with good hostel facilities and I myself have been a hosteller for 2 years. There are two types of hostel rooms, one is triple sharing with common washrooms and other is double sharing with attached washroom. Rooms are neat and clean. Housekeeping services are also available at the accommodation.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is very good as it is uniquely designed. All of the rooms are spacious enough to fill 70 students at once. Campus area is around 44 acres, which is quite big. There is a library, sports ground, an auditorium, indoor sports arena, and seminar halls. They also have food court along with different cafes inside the campus for students. My favorite thing in University to chill with my friends was the food court.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is great. I made many good friends and great memories to keep with me. The University crowd was also fantastic. There are many clubs, which organise many events for students to participate and socialise. There are many events organized by the University too which are of average 2 to 3 days. The fests are quite as students get to see different arits every year performing for them. My overall experience was best.

    My overall experience at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is really good till now. the serene vibes and the cool and calm atmosphere of the area is just wonderful.     Overall the college is better than most private Universities in Uttrakhand. The faculty is good at teaching. UPES provides internship opportunities which are also to be taken in consideration when applying here. I chose UPES because of their placements and the location of college.     In UPES, the teachers are very helpful and the campus ambience is very serene calm and beautiful. It is free from the city rush. It UPES regularly conducts fests and workshops for the students.     Overall, the university is pretty good. The campus life is actually really wonderful and enjoyable. The facilities provided in the campus can be mediocre for some people, but in my opinion they are mostly decent. The academics are also good and library is really well equipped with almost all the books we will need in this journey.
