COEP is a well-established brand. It has a very strong alumni network. Most of the alumni are settled in US-UK. You have good respect in society when you say you are from COEP. It has a very rich legacy and tradition from British era. Seniors are very helpful. It has very good academics and research facilities. Placements are top-notch. The crowd here is the cream of the country. Extra-curricular activities are the cherry on the cake. You should join this institution.

Academics are very tough here. Exams are very hard to crack but once you come here, you get used to it. Courses are difficult to pass, especially exams of Math department.

Faculty is just like IITs and other government colleges. 90% of faculties have done B.Tech from COEP itself and then they have done higher education from IITs and foreign institutions.

Everybody who wants placement gets placement at COEP. As IIT's IT sector has very good packages, the core sector has okayish packages and the Finance and management sector also has good packages here. Many people are interested in Civil services here. Every year around 25-30 people get selected in UPSC and MPSC. They have an aspirants club established here. But if you want placement you will get good placements here.

Hostel life is very energetic at COEP. The bond of goodwill you create here is for a lifetime. Every room has 4 students But the rooms are very spacious and have good auras. The hostels also are very old but in very good condition. You get good space to keep your stuff. The best part about the hostel is the food. The mess here is student-run and at subsidized rates. The food is really tasty and healthy. The chicken meal and baryonic on Sunday is mesmerizing. Even 40-50 years old, alumni visit the hostel just to eat that chicken meal. The breakfast especially MFT is very popular.

When you visit this campus, the first thing that comes to mind is Hogwarts and Harry Potter. This campus has excellent infrastructure will stone building, very old but with healthy infrastructure. The main building inside is just like dining hall from Harry Potter. All departments have their own separates building and labs. Most of the departments have stone structures. There is one big academic complex, 1 big library, I big computer lab for all student, also there are department wise computer labs and libraries. This is the only college with 100 years old boat club and one dedicated fest for boating. The college has river flowing next to it and you can actually do water sports there. The college has a big ground, badminton court, table tennis court and many other amenities for indoor sporting. The atmosphere at college is very cool because of extensive vegetation. The college is located at heart of city, prime location that is shivajinagar.

This is the best part of COEP. Here, we have more than 40 active clubs, 6 big fests, and many more activities. Students who get admission here are toppers and nerds, but when they come to COEP, they give most of their time to extracurricular activities. People here are not only good at academics but also at sports, technical knowledge, management skills, leadership, etc. Every day there is something new to explore.
