Some Beautiful Aspects of KUK Kurukshetra

Overall Rating
I took admission in Kurukshetra University in August 2023. It has been 1.5 years at here and my overall experience at the university is great. Its huge campus, crowd, best infrastructure, and quality faculty impressed me so much that I want to spend my whole life here. ‘Brahma Sarovar’ near the university provides so much peace to students as they get to participate in various Hindus rituals.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled for Master’s in Chemistry course that is a 2-year program, consisting of 4 semesters. Each semester is of every 6 months. The admission process of the university is very much simple consisting of an entrance test of 100 marks with 100 questions with each question carrying 1 mark. There is strictness in the university during the exam days.
Year wise course fee is Rs. 13,840, which includes all the charges like tuition fee, registration fee etc. The university does not offer any type of scholarship to its students. However, reserved categories are availed with concession of Rs. 4,000 per year.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are of best quality as they are educated from renowned institutes of India. The teaching method is proper with PPT and white board presentations. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:20. The bonding with faculty members is so much great that students feel hostile with teachers. The teachers also provide students with real time examples for various subjects for better understanding of the subject. They provide online and offline notes to the students.
 

Placement Rating
Every year, Kurukshetra University offers various job opportunities to the students by inviting various companies and industries for employing deserving candidates. The average annual package ranges from 2 to 4 Lakh Per Year. However, in case you don't want to be placed, you can pursue higher studies in foreign countries as well.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the university has separate 13 hostels for girls and 13 for boys. The mess food is of good quality in boy’s hostels but it needs to be improved in girl’s hostels. The rooms are so much spacious with a big almirah, a bed, a chair, and table to study. The hostel fee is only Rs. 12,840 per year with mess charges are Rs. 4,000.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The university has a huge green campus of 3700 square yards with varieties of parks such as riverside parks and Rose garden. It also has sports complex, 2 big auditoriums, university health centre, and many transport facilities especially for the girls. The classroom is very spacious which can accommodate maximum of 100 students at a time. The Law department is the biggest department of the university. There is quality equipment in the Chemistry lab, which makes it fascinating for the students.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is completely peaceful. Every year, Kurukshetra University organizes various events including ‘Ratnavali’ festival, which invites students from whole Haryana. The universities also offer various sports opportunities and extracurricular activities for its students. It also offers various opportunities for students to join various national and international conferences. It is of great prestige for students to join extracurricular activities as well. Many students participate in annual function, clubs, and societies, as they are very interesting.

    Faculty members are very kind and helpful. The exams are conducted on regular basis. It is ranked 700-751 in the Asian University (Rankings 2023) and ranks 41 in the State University category.
