KIIT, Bhubaneswar: Great Campus life with Good Academic

Overall Rating
Initially arriving at KIIT, I doubted myself for choosing the wrong college because I had no one here. However, I was so wrong I was able to manage being far from home as close to home. The academics here are decent but we have to put some extra efforts from ourselves. Skill gap between some students and rest of others is huge too. Students who are in leading role of major tech societies and same students go onto have good packages. One thing, which is very certain, is that you will not get bored here be it in campus or in hostel, i can assure this.
 

Academics Rating
As a B.Tech CSE student myself, I was motivated to join because of current growth in tech industry. For an international student, there was no such entry requirement. We needed to have 60% overall percentage in grade 11th and grade 12th. The admission process was quite simple. I went to the consultancy on my own in my country and paid Rs. 50,000 to them, they had link with the college, and I directly came here at KIIT.
I got SII scholarship (Study in India). My fee for 4 years is Rs. 2,88,000 including AC premium hostel.
 

Faculty Rating
Some of the faculty members are alumni of KIIT itself and some from famous institutions of India like IIT. The method of teaching depends upon individual teachers. Some of them just present ppts and just read aloud whereas some teaches exceptionally well like when I was in 1st semester, my BE teacher taught me so well. The problem solving abilities of the teacher is also quite good. There are too many students compared to teachers. The teachers are easily approachable just visit their block and they will be there for any sort of help.
 

Placement Rating
KIIT's Computer Science department does exceptionally good. The institute has a dedicated Placement Cell, it assists students from 4th semester. Placement Cell conducts various tests, quizzes and provides with other resources for placement. Students from other branches can sit for CS related companies if they have required skills for it.
 

Hostel Rating
For an international student, it is compulsory for to stay in hostel. I currently reside in KP8B/C hostel, which is premium hostel. There is separate hostel for boys and for girls, moreover it is a bit far too. For the food of mess, I like it to be honest and the hygiene is maintained well too. In a day there are 4 meals provided. There are no extra fees for us as it is included in the scholarship. I like residing in the hostel to be frank. There is no any problem here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
KIIT has one of the best infrastructures among other instructions here in India. It is spread almost in 7000 acres. It has many campuses, which has best classrooms with Wi-Fi and ac with big monitor screen. All campuses have good roaming space with greenery and many paintings, statues, and monuments. There is one central canteen, which serves with local Odin foods and variety of North and South Indian foods. Apart from this, there are several food courts in each campus. It has several medium and large auditorium and the sport facilities is very good.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life here has very less points to complain about. Here is several badminton, volleyball, basketball, courts where student can easily go and play there with their friends with utmost freedom. Several events, seminars, and workshops happen here very frequently. There are several events in a single day. Notable guests from India and abroad come here as a guest or as a speaker. Here are several societies not only tech related but also consisting of various other domains like singing, dancing, debating, public speaking and so on.

    KIIT is an Institute where the main goal of the Institute is educates tons of children. The batch of 2024 has more than 4000 admissions. I had no other good choice rather than to join this Institute. Well it is not totally bad Institute if you can focus on yourself and use the resources efficiently I think you can achieve great things in life.     This Institute is a combination of extracurricular activities and great academics. KIIT provides a beautiful natural environment for students to study and perform their various vocational activities.
