IIT Bhubaneswar Placements: Packages, Companies, and Success Stories

Overall, IIT Bhubaneswar is good with many positives and some shortcomings. I wanted to opt for Computer Science as per my JEE Advanced rank. There are many Telugu speaking people here. This campus is so huge as it is 1000 acres in size and half of it not used. Greenery is spread all around the campus. Hills nearby create beautiful ambience. Beach is also not more than 40 KMs away.

Only way to get admission in IIT Bhubaneswar is qualifying both JEE Main and Advanced. There is nothing like interview or group discussion too. Course curriculums are decent. Exams will be twice in a semester, one mid sem and one-end sem. exams will not be that easy so we will have to think out of the box for few questions actually.

Fee structure goes like Rs. 1,00,000 for tuition fee, Rs. 19,000 for institute fee, and Rs. 18,000 for mess fee per semester.

Faculties of IIT Bhubaneswar include Bengali, Telugu, or Malayali speaking professionals. They are friendly with students. All the doubts of the students will be clarified in the class itself. However, few of them can be more cooperative with the students. Teacher to student ratio is around 1:6. They don't hesitate for explaining twice or thrice but make sure to maintain discipline in the class. For first year students, teachers are newly appointed and from second year onwards, experienced faculty will teach.

I have just asked my seniors about the placements and packages. Placements are really decent in number. Average package is around 19 LPA and in CSE, it is actually 25 LPA. In addition, percentage placed is about 85%. In computer science, almost all the students are placed. Companies like Tata, Intel, Microsoft, Infosys, and Wipro visit the campus along with many other MNCs.

Hostels of IIT Bhubaneswar are very luxurious. There are 6 hostels (3 boys, 2 girls, and 1 for married couple). Out of which, 3 of them are old hostels. New hostels are very nice and old ones are renovated every year. Mess food is good. If one enters hostel after 11 PM, we will have to face some consequences.

IIT Bhubaneswar has good infrastructure. Auditorium is a newly constructed and it gives the glimpse of multiplex. There are 3 lecture halls and facilities insides these halls are really appreciable. Each class can hold up to 60 students at a time. The central library is vast and computers are also provided in library. Study room in library is very peaceful. Auditorium is favorite part of institute for all the students. Sports facilities are getting enhanced regularly. There is a hospital that offers free treatment and tests for the students. The only downside can be the fact that labs are pretty old. I hope they can updated and renovated in the near future.

Campus life is very interesting. I have got new memories with friends, seniors. There are many clubs and each having its own style. I am in dance club. There are inter-IITs and GCs. Annual fest is conducted.
