The University provides a decent learning environment for electronics and communication engineering (ECE) students. As I am a part of B-Tech program. To score well academic performances important but building good relationships with professors can be beneficial. Due to engineering background, you can have a personality development and you will be able to learn and handle things under pressure. Most of the times you can expect teachers to be last minute so please be prepared. The pre-requisites of previous standards are potentially very helpful for personal or not to feel burdened last minute. The University Infrastructure is very appealing and quite spacious. Do not mind, during exam time. Most of the classes might be occupied and you will have to sit in library. Why mention forcefully, because most of the private rooms are occupied inside the library so it is impossible to discuss if you have any project work. HOD of ECE is really friendly and if any problem arises, it will be solved.

I have selected electronics and communication engineering as I am following my father's footsteps and I have keen interest in the subject too. Eligibility criteria of the University depends on KCET, COMEDK, JEE and DSAT entrance exams. Based on your rank in respective exams, you will be given degree which is available. More the rank, more choices. My course had each semester for 5 and half months and we had exam every month. When semester exams start, there is one month gap with 2 internals each and finals. For real-life challenges, these courses will be help only if you focus on studies.

The fee for First year: Skill development fees is Rs. 20,000, examination fees is Rs. 10,000. The total amount is 30,000. Second year: miscellaneous fee is Rs. 15,000. The tuition fee is 90,293. The examination fee is Rs. 10,000 and the total fee is Rs. 1,15, 293. For third year, the tuition fee is Rs. 62,573, miscellaneous fee is 42,720 and examination fee is Rs. 10,000. The last forth year, tuition fee is Rs. 62,573, miscellaneous fee is Rs. 44,720 and examination fee is 10,000. The total fee is 1,17,293.

The faculties which are taught, ECE are very friendly till now and they have been helpful throughout all the semesters. They encourage students who have lots of doubts and they are curious about the subject. The faculty members in the ECE Department typically have strong academic credentials with many holding M.tech or Ph.D degrees in specialized fields such as VLSI design embedded systems, signal processing, communication network and wireless technology. Additionally, a few faculty members are actively involved in research projects, patents and publications. Their method of teaching is usually with whiteboards with markers and PPT’s in most of the times. The PPT’s are provided to the students for future reference too. The problem solving abilities of the faculty is average. Most of the doubts are cleared but they also need some time to study the doubt of the particular topic in depth to clarify a doubt in a very detailed manner. The teacher-student ratio have been managed from 4 years is 1:80 approximately. Most of the teachers were cordially enough encouraging for the doubts and they are quite open for all types of doubts and some teachers can be unintentionally rude but the way you approach them can change the perspective.

The placement cell in our University plays a crucial role in connecting the gap between the students and the industry. It is responsible for giving updates about the industry's internships or job opportunities. There was a particular website for placement training which had collaboration with the University and they usually focused on the computer science coding languages but that particular website can also be used for aptitude training. Till now the companies which have approached our University were Capgemini and Accenture amongst renowned ones. The highest package offered till date is 8 LPA and the average is around 5 LPA in ECE department. As per individual experience I have not been attending any placements as I have other plans.

Yes, our University offers residential facilities. I have no updates about the total room or number of students, facilities and recreational activities for the hostellers. The basic information about the boys and girls being separate is true. The food is a bit average. I have heard a lot of complaints from my friends and hostel fees is around Rs. 2,18,000 per year approximately. I do not have any personal experience as I am a day scholar student.

As I am 4th year student, in the first three years I have spent in house. The classes are well maintained, hygienic and maintained. They regularly clean washrooms. Every structure of the University is good and now for the last year they have shifted us to Harohalli campus kanakpura road. There the infrastructure is immensely insane. It is really beautiful and is compared to Hogwarts school from harry potter series. Greenery in the new campus is very well maintained and it is very rich to see the greenery early in the morning. The only problem of the new campus is the commute. The campus is 40KM away from the city and the commute can be a problem but if you are a good traveler through BMTC and KSRTC then it shouldn't be a huge problem. As the town Harohalli is a bit high in humidity the classes get a bit heated up and that's why the fans are necessary and facilities like sitting capacity is impressing and the classes are well maintained. The library, labs, seminar halls, auditorium, conference hall and lecture halls, everything is available in the University. Canteen is only available with respect to the nearest location that is in the medical block. Other than that one is 500 meters away from the main building of engineering and medical block and another is almost 900 meters away from the engineering and medical block. For sports, the football ground and the basketball court is back of the main engineering and medical block. You get good warm-up till you reach the field and the court. My favorite place in the University infrastructure has to be the cafeteria in the medical block. It’s little inside of the medical block and its cozy inside so whenever I have free time I usually go there.

Campus life in overall really good. The change was immensely challenging but with my friend's support it was very easy for me to adapt to the new environment. The University crowd is immensely high especially during the exam time when we are exiting exam halls. We have to wait till the crowd reduces and there are many clubs. It can be regarding technology, art, acting or singing or any type of clubs. I wanted to be a part of Acting Club but I didn't get through it. There are a lot of extracurricular activities that are organized occasionally. My experience in the University was pretty average.
