Overall Rating
My experience at IIITK is amazing. The way faculty and our seniors welcomed us was very good. There is no ragging in the entire campus. The faculty is average and can be better.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen the course Bachelor of Technology with CSE because I want to get a Software job. To get into our institute, one should get a rank of 35000 in JEE Main. Admissions are through counseling process of JoSAA and CBIT. In every 4 months, there will be an end sem exams and in the middle of the semester, there will be internal exams. The academics are quite good and help me prepare for GATE and real life coding problems.
The fee structure in this campus is same for all the years. The tuition fee is Rs. 1,32,000 per semester and Rs. 60,000 is hostel fee. In a year, you have to pay Rs. 4,00,00. For the students who belong to the reserved category will get money from NSP, means you will get the tuition from government.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is average. The teaching methods can be improved. The teacher to student ratio is also average. They are supportive though.
 

Placement Rating
Students who have good academic record will get placement in top MNCs. The average package offered is good but it depends on the individual knowledge of the students.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the institute provides hostel facilities. Yes, boys and girls hostels are separate. In each hostel block, there are number of rooms and 36,100 can stay in each block. The institute will provide food in the hostel. The quality of the food is good. The hostel fee is Rs. 60,000 per semester. The size of room is small though. Each room accommodates 3 students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 2 academic blocks, which consists of classrooms and academic related offices. Campus size is average. Seating capacity in each classroom is good. Seminar hall and conference hall are spacious. Library is good with good number of available books. 4 canteens are available in the campus premises. Medical facilities are good. All the other facilities were decent. There are 2 gyms available with all good equipment.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is average to good. In my course, there are 941 students and 521 students in 1st year. Adhavya, Apoorv, and some other events are organized here. Inter-sports competitions are organized here.

    The fact that IIIT Kottayam is in Kerala was what that excited me the most and I think that this campus is worth joining among the institute s that I’ll get with my JEE score.     This is a very good institute. We have many great opportunities to get a job. Don't believe negative reviews that you listen as we have great equipment in laboratories and great well enough graduated faculty. For 1st years, hostel may be outside the campus. Management will take care of that they will provide buses. If you can afford fee then joining IIITK is worth joining rather than private institutes.
