LPU Jalandhar Provides Admission in B.Tech by JEE Main or LPUNEST Exams

I did a very deep research and chose LPU Jalandhar. I think it’s one of the best private Universities that a student can get with such great and highly skilled faculty. Also environment for such opportunities and goals and even your passions. Besides that this University has given placement above 50 LPA and even 1 Crore Per Annum to students.

My chosen course is B.Tech (CSE) and eligibility criteria includes JEE Main rank or LPUNEST (which also determines your scholarship). LPUNEST includes Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Quantitative Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. In 4 years of B.Tech CSE, you will learn different coding languages along with other core subjects allotted to you. Besides you got to choose your minor in your 2nd year (at the end) which includes Data Science, Full Stack, Cyber Security, etc. 6 months for each semester includes 3 CAs (best of 2 taken), mid term and end term exams. Also few subjects demand project patents from your side. Our University organizes a lot of hackathons, events, CTF, etc. for your career upgrade. Even webinars from big companies where you get mentored. You get your own mentor for any kind of issue to be resolved. I agree that LPU might can get little bit stressful sometimes but trust me its for your own good. Also they provide speaking and productivity skills where you learn how to appear for an interview.

B.Tech (CSE) fee is Rs. 1,20,000 (per sem) + Rs. 4,000 exam fees. Hostel costs me Rs. 80,000 and mess for 3 meals costs Rs. 40,000. There are lot of scholarships available and you can one get through LPUNEST or JEE Mains score. I got 34% scholarship. You can check the eligibility for other scholarships and apply for it. Also the University provides help to students. EMI is also available, you get to talk to the mentor or help desk, according to that your help will be approved to you.

Faculties have Ph.D mostly and they are experienced in their field. For example, our Java teacher was a professional JAVA programmer with Ph.D and many patents written by her. We have projectors for teaching, also white board for explanations. We also have labs for different programming language and even for IOT and Apple developers we have different labs for testing. You can put an RMS (for complains) against faculties if you don’t like their behaviour and no one will question you. You can contact teachers on Saturday for extra class. We have around 60 students per class and 1 teacher manages 3 to 4 classes according to their schedule. Till date I didn't find any difficulty around asking the teacher to clear my doubt no matter how minimal it is. They are friendly and attentive.

It really depends on your performance like companies are really coming in huge numbers and even if LPU Jalandhar sees you as a good student then they set up companies for your placements. They are actually very helpful in that matter. This year a student got a package of 2 Crore Per Annum which is I think is highest. If you talk about average package, I think its 10 LPA. You can start giving interviews from 2nd year only if you are confident enough. There are many companies visiting each year like Google, Deloitte, TCS, Mahindra, Microsoft, etc.

Girls and boys have different hostels. Mess provides hygienic and good quality food. Girls hostel has female warden. In room you get bed and cupboard. Each hostel has its own guards to give security. The timing of the mess is 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM for breakfast, 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM for lunch, and 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM for dinner. Girls have curfew after 11 PM. Personally staying in hostel gives you that campus experience.

There are 4 halls, 1 seminar hall, and each building has their own conference room. The University has its own hospital so no issue in medical facility. Every sort of sports and training for national level opportunity is there. Transport facility is available. There are guards everywhere for security. Every time you go outside your parents get informed. Every academic building has centralized AC. Also library with over 1Lakh+ books are available along with e-books. The library remains open for 12 hours.

Life at this University can be busy but trust me its fun. You can get into clubs and there are different free clubs for dancing, music, sports, entrepreneurship, etc. There are DJ nights, fests, celebrity parties, and much more. The University has decent crowd and you are really going to enjoy being at LPU. Even there are talent hunt competitions like ‘One India One World’ where you get to represent your country and state.
