Nexus is the Annual Cultural Fest of SVC New Delhi

SVC New Delhi is a great College overall. The people, food and faculty here are great. There are many societies for extracurricular activities and fests are the best here. The crowd is also decent, the seniors are helpful too and there is a lot to travel around the College as well. The campus size is huge and it is very hygienic. There are Commerce, Science and Arts courses available here.

I chose B.Com (Hons.) as my course because it gives many opportunities in Financing and Business later in life. To get into this College, you need to clear CUET with the minimum scores that are required by the university and then you have to register through the CSAS Portal. Internal examinations are held every semester, along with the university theory exams at the end of each semester. However, there are many practical subjects available, which do not have any written test, but a practical test. The course curriculum is rigorous and practical.

The fees are quite affordable for everyone.

The faculty is very educated and talented here. They all are very helpful. They provide a mentor-mentee program, where 10 students are assigned to a teacher and if they have any problem related to their academics, they can contact the teacher for guidance. Every faculty member here has at least 2 degrees and a Master's degree. They are great at problem solving. The teacher student ratio at the College is also fine. Some societies conduct Teacher’s Day celebrations, so you can have a good bonding with the faculty members. If you approach them for any problem or any opportunities for internships or research reports, they always help.

There are hostels and PGs around the College, which are very accessible for students who are coming from other states.

The infrastructure of our College is really nice and pretty. There are a lot of gardens like Rock Garden, Botanical Garden, etc. The campus size is quite big; we have an auditorium, a big canteen, a maggie point, and separate buildings for Science, Commerce, and Arts. We have a two-storied library that has many books. There is a main ground too, along with a playground and basketball court. The locality is also great because there is a market right across the College.

Overall campus life at SVC New Delhi would be great because the crowd here is a really nice and you will have a lot of fun. You will have free time between your classes to bond with other people. There are around 70 clubs in our College, and I am a part of the Commerce Association. A lot of societies hold many engagement activities like small fests. The annual cultural fest ‘Nexus’ is really popular around the new circuit and other than that, we have Diwali Mela.
