'Cosmos' is Annual Fest of IISU Jaipur

My overall experience in IIS University Jaipur was good. I had spent my 5 years in this University with great knowledgeable professors. They are friendly and strict at the same time. They guide me about everything related to my field. I choose this particular University since it is one of the few Universities offering the specialisation I wanted to choose in Jaipur.

I choose B.Sc in Home Science as I wanted to be a social servant and a dietician. The eligibility criterion for my course is passing 12th with an aggregate of 55% marks and for masters in the same, students requires a Bachelor’s degree in Home science with an aggregate of 55% marks. Admission process is smooth. The exams are held on semester basis. They prepare you for real-life challenges.

The fee for my course is approximately Rs. 80,000/- per year and you can pay it semester wise. You also have to pay Rs. 1500/- as registration fee and Rs. 2000/- as security fee which is refundable.

The faculty members are understanding and good. Most of the faculty members have done doctorate in their respective fields and are Ph.D guides for many Ph.D scholars. The teachers use audio visual aids and PPTs to teach students. Apart from this, they conduct group discussions and presentations so that the students can build the confidence to speak in public settings. The teacher student ratio is 1:6. They solve the problems faced by the students calmly. My bonding with faculty members was good.

The University placement cell is very good. The placement cell sends mail to every student for upcoming companies in the University for placement. Many companies visit our University and many of the student alumina has been selected in armed forces too. Placement cell conducts various guest lecturers for students in University.

University also have residential facilities, there are 2 hostels. There are many girls living in these hostels. Mess is also there, which provides food for 4 time i.e. breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. The hygiene is good and the quality of food is also good. There is a warden also. The students are required to come back in their allotted hostel rooms by 8 PM. Students are not allowed to bring non-hostellers to the hostel premises.

There are 6 blocks in campus mainly A, C, D, E, F, and the main block in which is located the cabin of the registrar, dean and VC's along with the reception area, admission office, main staff room and doorway to go to the library which is in the basement of the main block. A and C block are merged in one building and to join these blocks from the main block, there is a bridge. And the back sides of the main block have two entrances making way for D and E block. University has 2 canteens, a garden and a basketball court around which parking area for cars of students and faculty members is available. The University also has a gym and a Child care centre where the children of the professors stay during University hours.

My campus life is good. University crowd is good. There are various clubs at IIS University Jaipur but I wasn't a part of it. There are many extracurricular activities like Vocal Music, Dance, Kathak, Web Designing, Fashion Designing, Aviation, Foods & Nutrition, Yoga, etc. There are many cultural fest and events happening every now and then in the University premises like University fest (Cosmos), annual fashion show (Creations), Annual day, convocation ceremony, freshers party, farewell party, etc. My experience at the University campus was quite good.
