Assam University B.Pharm fee is around Rs. 70,000/- per year

My overall experience at Assam University Silchar was good. The University is average if we consider the placements. It is close to my hometown. The faculties here are experienced in their respective subject. The University is full of diversity and it's a centralized University with ample opportunities for students. The only feedback that is there on my part is that the University’s infrastructure could be improved. The environment is serene and rich in wild life and there's a park inside our University which is filled with varied species of plants which are used for research purposes.

I chose this course since I couldn’t qualify for NEET. There were CUET and non-CUET exams considered for admission in the University. Eligibility criterion is that students should have 60% in HSC with good marks in Biology. You have clear the cut-off or obtain the required marks to get this course. If selected, you will be provided with other details regarding the course. There are 2 semesters in every year and it's a 4-year course. In each semester, there are 2 internals and 1 final exam. The practical exposure offered here will be helpful in real-life scenarios.

The fee for my course is Rs. 70,000/- per annum, but I have to pay only Rs. 40,000/-. There are no category-wise discounts provided to students by the University, but there are scholarships available for eligible students. One of the State scholarships that students can apply for is ‘Ishan Uday Scholarship’.

The faculty is very good with high experience. They are very determined to teach the students. They use projectors and dashboards for presentation. Some teachers have good problem-solving capabilities than others. I have good bond with a lot of teachers. Some teachers are strict but helpful in nature. The designated teacher provides the students with proper notes, PPTs and PDFs for their respective subjects. There are around 20 teachers and around 180 to 200 students in our course.

The mess food requires improvements. There are strict rules for girls’ hostel.

Academic block are different in different area. They are segregated at different zones or places and are few in number. The campus size is very large and there's a health centre at our campus. The seating capacity is of the classroom is around 50. There are individual canteens for individual departments. There's a library known as ‘Rabindra’ library. There are varied labs too, but improvements can be there in terms of cleanliness there. There are two seminar halls; one of them called ‘Bipin Chandra Paul’. There is also an auditorium and conference hall. There is a central cafeteria and for sports, there is a multi-purpose field which is utilised by the students for various sports activities. The University also offers transport facilities to the students. The security is very nice and supportive. The S-Cube is the best place in the University.

The overall campus life at Assam University Silchar is awesome because of the fests. There are many more sports events and academic sessions held in the University. The University is very lively. The University crowd is diverse and there are numerous students studying. There are different clubs in University such as Rotary club, Debate club, Quiz club, etc. Though there are many clubs present, I'm not part of any of these. Inter-University sports events takes place every year where Universities from all across India participates.
