Pursuing B.Tech from DEC Dumka

Overall Rating
This is a Public-Private Partnership Institute as it has 5 branches such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering. More than 3 branches are NAAC & NBA accredited as well. The College provides both free seat and payment seat based on Government & private partnership. This College is located in city so all resources are accessible. According to me, it is a great College.
 

Academics Rating
The students who had PCM can take admission through JEE Main. The students can also take direct admission in this College. The students who belong to UR category have to score more than 80% to get admission here, the students of OBC category have to score more than 70% and the students who belong to SC/ST category have to score more than 40%. The academics of this College prepare you well for real life challenges.
The fee structure is divided into two categories. The fee of the students is Rs. 71,172/- per year. The students can also avail the scholarship provided by State & Central Government.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members DEC Dumka plays an important role in coordinating with the students. The faculty members are well qualified and have done Ph.D and Maters from top Institutions like NIT & IIT. The teachers conduct group discussion in the classroom. The teacher to students’ ratio is decent as well. Overall, the faculty members are good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the College has placement cell. Both core and non-core companies visit our campus such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Adani Power Limited, etc. The offered packages are quite good. Overall, the placements of this College are good.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the DEC Dumka provides separate hostel facilities to both male and female students. The students of the boys hostel have good life and Badminton court as well. The mess provides good quality of food to the students. The hostel has some strict rules but till now my experience in the hostel is quite good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has 4 academics blocks such as Admit block, Mechanical building, Civil building, and Electronics & IT Building. The campus has cafeteria, canteen, digital library, etc. The College also has medical facilities, practical labs which is equipped with machines, auditorium, etc. The computer lab is available as well which can accommodate a good amount of students. According to me the campus is very peaceful.
 

Campus Rating
There are various clubs such as Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) club, Management club, etc. The DEC Dumka organises various types of events such as sports event, etc. It also conduct fests called “Fanatics” and “Techurious” every year. The College conducts Robo rush, fashion show & Sangeet show. I am thankull to my juniors and seniors who make my college life memorable.
