Dumka Engineering College: Academics, Facilities, etc

Overall Rating
My overall experience in Dumka Engineering College, Dumka is good. They provide better facilities to the students. Teachers are polite and helpful. I took admission in this Institution because of my friends as also took admission here. It is run and managed by Techno India which is located in Jharkhand.
 

Academics Rating
I chose this course because I am a Diploma holder in Civil Engineering. You can take direct admission through open counselling and the basic seat is a payment seat. Many people who have got Government seats through JCECEB counselling and they are very less in comparison to me. In my Institution, there are two internal exams before the semester exams and it reduces the difficulty level of the semester exam. You will get enough material to study.
My yearly fee is around Rs.90,000/- as I am from payment seat. The fee for the remaining free seats is around Rs 25,000/-. They have for semester fee Rs. 2,000/-. The best thing is that you get scholarship from the State Government if you are OBC, ST/SC. I am OBC so I got the scholarship which covers the entire fee.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members of my branch are very good. They are well qualified and co operative. All the faculty members have sufficient and good educational background. They teach so well so you will understand each thing. Engineering is completely based on practical teaching so they teach practically. They have good ratio between student and teacher.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, DEC Dumka offer placements to the students. There is an active Placement Cell in this Institution which will help you in getting placement. There are companies like Tata, TCS, Wipro, and many more visits Institution for hiring.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, they provide accommodations to the students. In Institution you get a good hostel campus where you can play indoor games. There will be 3 students in a room. They have separate girls' and boys’ hostel and it is at a good distance. They charge Rs. 100/- for extra meal. Food quality is decent of the campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
All branches have separate academic building blocks. Campus size is good and almost all classrooms have projectors which makes it digital classes. There is a library in the Institution where you get a peaceful environment to study and read. There are well equipped labs for every branch and a big seminar hall. You get facilities like Sports, Medical, Transport, Security and many more. My favorite place is Library where I like to sit and read.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience is quite decent. There is good crowd of students. There is no club. They celebrate festivals like Saraswati Pooja, Vishwakarma Pooja, and many more. They organize sports events in the winter season and festivals in the summer season.

    My overall experience in this College is very good. It is a little far from my home but I got free seat, that’s why I chose this College for me and it turned out to be best college for me. To get a free seat you have to get good marks in entrance exam JCECE (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board).     The Dumka Engineering College, Dhumka is honestly a decent place for students who want a peaceful environment to study in and I think the reason is that it is managed by Techno India Group (as Private-Public Partnership). I chose this College because the fee is affordable and also it is a Government Institution so the education quality is better compared to many private ones.     This is a Public-Private Partnership Institute as it has 5 branches such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering. More than 3 branches are NAAC & NBA accredited as well. The College provides both free seat and payment seat based on Government & private partnership.
