IIT Guwahati has Beautiful Infrastructure & Campus Life

Overall Rating
Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is beautiful campus where students can grow a lot if they utilize our time. We can also make good friends for life as being alone might be a bit risky and may feel depressed It mostly depends on us how we use our time. We have to have hope on ourselves, follow the goal, and should stay consistent then will succeed. Here, we have many opportunities to learn & become successful individuals.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing Data Science and Artificial Intelligence where we have lot of assignments, projects and studying before the night of the exam cannot really help for a good grade. Sometimes, the grading & markingis strict.
Fee structure is somewhat high. The total fee is of tuition fee, hostel fee, mess fee and other charges. Students who belong to SC, ST, and PwD have fewer fees compared to others. Scholarships such as MCM, NSP, and others are available for the students.
 

Faculty Rating
There are professors who are very chill and we can approach and ask doubts. However, all of them are Ph.D holders and has excellent teaching experience. Teacher to student ratio is satisfactory but manageable. I wish a few of them were lesser strict.
 

Placement Rating
Placement drives of the Institute go well. Students of top branches have high scope to crack a good package but for average students might not be that easy. We need to have good Internship experience, projects, and build strong CVs. Companies who are visiting the campus are good.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is okayish. Mess food, rooms, and other facilities are average. The breakfast is very good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of the IIT Guwahati is very big. It covers the area of over 700 acres. It is very spacious also. There is a Brahmaputra river nearby the campus, which is so peaceful. My favorite place is Serpentine Lake, as it has a good view. Libraries, Sports Complex, Lecture Halls, and all the other facilities are maintained really well. Campus is good.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is enjoyable. There are many clubs who conduct many events and fests. Biggest cultural fest is ‘Alcheringa’ where people from North East India come and participate in many programs. I have enjoyed a lot in campus and have good memories with group of friends will have so much fun. Fests will be more fun and through clubs, we connect with people, create good memories, and gain new knowledge.

    My experience with the Institute has been a chaotic and yet nice. The Institute is where one experiences a plethora of new activities, and gets to chat with passerby strangers like they were your next door neighbors and make unforgettable memories. IIT Guwahati as an Institute is excellent and definitely fitting of its namesake as an IIT.     Overall experience for me in this Institute is quite good. Campus has lush greenery; you will feel the nature surrounding you with each step you take in the campus. I particularly choose IIT Guwahati because I am got my desired course at my rank in this Institute. But once I came to campus I was fully overwhelmed with campus infrastructure and size.
