Campus Area of DIT University Dehradun is Nearly 21 Acres

Overall, my experience at University is nice. From the beautiful location to brilliant academics, the University has everything for students of different backgrounds. Since, the location is pretty and calm, pleasant cold weather makes it prettier. The academics are well focused with good faculty members, smart technology, and excellent infrastructure. Dedicated Schools for different academic areas, like School of Computing, School of Physical Sciences, etc. The support staff is also very polite and helpful. Be it research, placements or competitive exams, it offers arrangements for every career path.

The syllabus of Computer Science branch of B.Tech involves basic 12th level subjects in first year. From second year onwards, and coding oriented and other important subjects are introduced. Third year focuses on core AI-ML subjects (of course on the basis of specialisation opted by students). The final year includes placement preparation and the capstone projects. quizzes, mid-terms, and end-terms with vivas and graded labs for practical exams are held to evaluate students. Not only theoretical knowledge but also practical application of the concepts help improve our knowledge.

Fee structure for Domicile and Non-Domicile students is different. For my batch, the fee is around Rs. 1,35,000/- per semester for Uttarakhand residents and approximately Rs. 1,73,000/- for other states residents. Various scholarships like Girls’ Scholarship are available for students.

Faculty members here are polite and helpful. With their profound knowledge in the subjects, it becomes easier to understand concepts practically. They are always willing to clear our doubts even after office hours. For coding subjects, faculty teach concepts and then provide practical applications of the coding algorithms.

Placement Cell formed at the DIT University Dehradun is very cooperative. Regular coding tests, aptitude, GD, mock interviews, and resume building sessions are organised to help students in improving their skills. Every year, several product and service based companies visit campus.

The DIT University Dehradun has a 21-acre campus. The University has different buildings for every School (Nursing, Pharma, Computing, core Engineering, Civil, and Workshop). The University has dedicated labs with Wi-Fi. there are University buses that provide transportation services to the students. For medical support, there is an infirmary. Depending on the department, classrooms have different seating capacity. However, the average is around 60 to 70 students. The seminar halls are also present.

Overall campus experience is very good. University crowd is also decent. Best thing is the University has Anti-Ragging Campus. There are different clubs coding, literary, music, dance, NSS and many more for every hobby and every interest. University keeps organising sessions like motivation sessions. hackathons. Debates. festival-related competitions. Annual cultural fest is celebrated in around November. Annual sports fest is organised around February to March. Other social, technical and cultural events keep happening throughout the year.
