IIIT Kota Review

Overall Rating
IIIT Kota was established in 2013 and we do not have a permanent campus yet. Currently we are in MNIT Jaipur campus and we may shift next year to our new campus. The average package of this Institute was high in 2022 which made me choose this college. This college comes under public-private partnership which means that it is a public non-government college.
 

Academics Rating
I am in the ECE Branch and I got admission through JoSAA Counseling. I secured 95 percentile in JEE Mains and I had OBS Reservation. I like Electronics so I chose this course or program. For general category you should have minimum 96 to 97 percentile and for OBC you should have 95 to 97 percentile to join this college. You also have to complete high school in PCM and have aggregate 75%.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is not permanent here as it keeps changing. The lecturers set quite tough papers. There is step marking done. The faculties have PhD from top institutes like IITs, BITS, or top foreign universities. We only have assistant professors.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a placement cell. For the CSE Branch the highest package gone is 53.6 LPA and the average package is 15.76 LPA. For the ECE Branch the highest package gone is 25 LPA and the average package is 11.31 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are pretty decent here. We share our hostels with MNIT Jaipur. The washrooms are not much clean and the food is of average quality.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We share our campus with MNIT Jaipur and we have some facilities like sports, a computer centre, a shopping complex, two canteens, and world's largest lecture hall. We have 2 girls’ hostels and 7 boys’ hostels. We also have an admin block called Prabha Bhavan and we have separate buildings for each department.
 

Campus Rating
We have many clubs like Neon, Incognito, GDSC, etc. The non-technical clubs recruit in the first year and the technical clubs start recruiting from 2 year onwards. We have two fests named Blitzschlag and Flair Fiesta. We also have many sports tournaments like MST, Inter IIT, Blossom by BITS, and NIT versus IIIT sometimes.

  • IIIT Kota: Campus Facilities and Student Life

    Indian Institute of Information Technology is a tier 2 college which was previously situated in MNIT Jaipur but now it has its own campus building at Ranpur, Kota. Based on the outskirts of the city, it has poor connectivity but is in constant growing phase. I chose this college because it was newly made and shifted so our batch thought it will in MNIT Jaipur.     IIIT Kota is a decent college to opt for as it has good placements compared to other IIITs and other private colleges and universities. They provide good education and also encourage the students for practicing coding. My experience has been very good here.     The college environment is quite good and it has good faculties who have great experience in teaching. The institution has great potential in becoming one of the great Universities in India.     Overall Rating
    It is the best institute for BTech students of CSE and ECE. It has the best campus placements. Sports facilities are available. Events are conducted and many of the other colleges are also invited in those events. The strength of each class is up to 100 students.
