IIIT Kota Review

Overall Rating
IIIT Kota is a decent college to opt for as it has good placements compared to other IIITs and other private colleges and universities. They provide good education and also encourage the students for practicing coding. My experience has been very good here. If you will be hard working and will study yourself as well then you will not face any difficulty. I will definitely recommend this college to everyone.
 

Academics Rating
As for the academics, our college has advanced curriculum according to the latest industrial requirements. They will teach all languages required for the present industry. Although the academic pressure is a bit high as the classes and labs are conducted from 9 am to 5 pm. You have to work hard to survive and score well.
 

Faculty Rating
Presently our college has shortage in faculty, but they will hire new faculty soon. The current faculty is very well experienced and they also teach very well. They are very supportive and friendly towards students. Most of our faculty members have completed their PhDs. I personally have no complaints about the faculty in our college.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are a very good aspect of our campus. Right now the college is a bit low in placements but I am pretty sure that it is just a temporary effect. This year our average package was 15.73 LPA for CSE and 11.31 LPA for ECE. Right now we are in the campus of MNIT Jaipur and there will be no changes in placements even if the campus changes as IIIT Kota has its own placement cell. Major companies that come to hire students are Amazon, Microsoft, Google, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
As we are presently in the campus of MNIT Jaipur, the hostels are the demerit right now. We have been given the old hostels and they are not cleaned properly. The mess food is not that good. You have to adjust with all these things if you are planning to come to our college. It will surely get better in the new campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The current campus is well established. Our new campus is currently under construction and it might still need some time. Our new campus plan has all the facilities like sports, gym, etc. that might be required by us.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is below average in our college due to high academic pressure and poor gender ratio. I think that the gender ratio would become better this year as female reservation has been introduced this year. Night life is pretty good in our college due to our 2 am canteen. We have sports tournaments held in our college, clubs are active, and fests are also conducted yearly.

    Indian Institute of Information Technology is a tier 2 college which was previously situated in MNIT Jaipur but now it has its own campus building at Ranpur, Kota. Based on the outskirts of the city, it has poor connectivity but is in constant growing phase. I chose this college because it was newly made and shifted so our batch thought it will in MNIT Jaipur.     For me, overall experience at the institute is average. I have chosen this institute as it offers Electronics and according to my JEE Main rank, it was most suitable and another factor is that it was closer to my hometown.     The college environment is quite good and it has good faculties who have great experience in teaching. The institution has great potential in becoming one of the great Universities in India.     Overall Rating
    It is the best institute for BTech students of CSE and ECE. It has the best campus placements. Sports facilities are available. Events are conducted and many of the other colleges are also invited in those events. The strength of each class is up to 100 students.
