Good college, Harcourt Butler Technical University

Overall Rating
Initially, when I came into the college like other students, I too used to think that this college is not at all good but as the days passed and I explored the college more and more I find it very good. There are many things in the college which are not known to everyone, you yourself have to explore it.
 

Academics Rating
The overall academics review is good. The course curriculum changes every year to bring changes and add things that are useful for students. The B.Tech admissions are taken through JEE Mains exam, but the college does not participate in JOSAA counseling. The college conducts its own counseling in which you have to apply.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties of this college are highly educated and sincere. Most of the faculty members are graduated from IIT's. Moreover, all of them are highly punctual and supportive. You can freely ask your doubts from them. The teaching method of all is good. You can easily grab the things if you regularly attend the classes.
 

Placement Rating
Placements of this college are really fascinating. The highest placements are mainly from CS, IT and Electronics. Besides these branches chemical has very good placement record.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are not as very good as they are constructed many years ago, but they are renovating their hostels. Talking about girl’s hostel there are 5 girls' hostel and Gangotri and Kaveri are best among them.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is only one thing in which this college lags and that is infrastructure. The infrastructure of this college is not very good in comparison to other colleges, and this is the main reason it lags in ranking also. Infrastructure has begun to be improved seeing the new things. The building is constructed in British period.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life of this college is best. All the fests are really very good. There are many clubs and sub types of council in this college. The annual fest of this college is "Adhyaay" and the tech fest name is "Technika". Students enthusiastically participate in the fests, clubs and all other co-curricular activities of the college.

    My overall experience for the University is average. The University is having lush green campus, good library, good clubs, and societies. I chose this University just because of my JEE Main rank; this was the best possible option which I had had.     I am currently 2nd year student at HBTU Kanpur pursuing Leather Technology. It is good for placement. It has strict attendance criteria as students have to maintain at least 75% attendance. Its placement is good for all branches and its alumni network is very strong. It has various clubs, councils, and societies. However, it is good University you can learn many things....     I am a student of HBTU pursuing my Undergraduate program B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. My experience at this university is good. There are some factors that made me choose this particular institute and one of these are its alumni network and it is a government university so it has its own value.     Harcourt butler technical University (HBTU) is located in Nawabganj Kanpur. HBTU is mother of IIT Kanpur. HBTU has two campus on is south campus others are in West campus. South has only hostels and field for games like Satabdi Bhavan. All academic buildings and departments are in west campus and all of them are good.     I got in to HBTU through JEE Main exam. Now talking about experience, this college is overall good since the alumni base of this college is very strong.
