A Honest opinion on IIITG

Overall Rating
My overall experience at this institute was good. I chose this particular institute because of its reputation, curriculum and placements. The institute is one of the best IIITs in India. The institute curriculum always makes students ready to the industry requirements. The course structure is modified and updated whenever needed.
 

Academics Rating
The only way to enter this institute is through JEE Mains. The courses offered by the institute are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering. The motive for enrolling in the course is that it will give in depth knowledge to the students in the particular domain. The courses are modified by the authority if needed.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members in the institute are highly qualified and having very wide knowledge in their course. Most of the faculty members have completed their PhD from IITs. The faculty always encourages the students to fulfill their dreams. Some of the faculty members teach on board, while some of them use projectors to teach.
 

Placement Rating
The institute has a Placement Cell. The placement cell is very active throughout the year. The placement cell really helps the students to pursue their dream jobs.
 

Hostel Rating
There is separate hostel for boys and girls. Every room in the hostel is shared by two persons, each person will be provided with a fan. The rooms are not so spacious, but enough for the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is a single academic block. The library was inside the academic block. There are two big lecture galleries inside the academic blocks. The academic block is equipped with ACs. Each classroom in the academic block has ACs and has a projector. Wi-Fi is available in the academic block. The library consists of books which are required for the course.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd is not too much nor too less. The annual fest in the institute is Yuvaan. The annual tech fest is entropy. The clubs are active throughout the year. Some of the clubs in the institute are sports club, programming club, karlav club, prasnatantra club, technocrats, alankrit, reading club, music club, and dance club.

    My experience with the Institute has been a chaotic and yet nice. The Institute is where one experiences a plethora of new activities, and gets to chat with passerby strangers like they were your next door neighbors and make unforgettable memories. IIT Guwahati as an Institute is excellent and definitely fitting of its namesake as an IIT.     Overall experience for me in this Institute is quite good. Campus has lush greenery; you will feel the nature surrounding you with each step you take in the campus. I particularly choose IIT Guwahati because I am got my desired course at my rank in this Institute. But once I came to campus I was fully overwhelmed with campus infrastructure and size.     It has been a year since I joined IIT Guwahati. I have a very good experience in this Institute. We didn’t get to join the clubs in the beginning but the Institute conducts several events. I can’t forget the mischief that I and my friends have done in the hostel throughout the year. I went for this Institute as the branch I chose aligned with my interests.
