I am not very aware of the placements for my course, but Christ University does have a reputed placement cell. It also has so many business fests that connect industry experts with students. Placements for many other courses are also good, but I am not fully aware of my course as most of the people in my course either goes for competitive exams or for UPSC.Read Full Review
Christ University placements has an excellent record for over 20 years with an efficient placement cell which has a well-established corporate network. Prior to the recruitment drive students are provided with workshops and are trained on group discussions, mock interviews, and business etiquettes. Our top recruiters include KPMG, Deloitte and GS along with Accenture, Genpact, JP Morgan, TCS, and Wipro to name a few. The average package offered for B.Com is about Rs. 4-6 LPA and the highest package offered so far is about Rs. 18 LPA by D.E Shaw & Co, who although take only a handful of extraordinary students. The energy beamed as soon as the placement began. Christ is one of the most reputed names in Bangalore, and therefore from start-ups to established films, all were there for the placements. I don't know the exact number, but 100 companies for sure were there. The placement still was not 100% as some students couldn't get the desired CGPA and were rejected in interviews. These days score line and personal skills are mandatory as only the university reputation can't guarantee jobs. This may be the case in IIMs, but having good CGPA's is the only way to get placed in Christ. Placements, on the whole, were decent as the average package was eight lakhs and above.Read Full Review
