Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication Pune Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The college shares its campus with three other Symbiosis colleges. It's a very big campus located near the Pune Airport. The campus is well equipped with lifts and water coolers. There is a library and a ground on the campus. Other sports facilities are available and free to use in other Symbiosis Viman Nagar campuses. The SCMC campus also has a canteen, mess, ATM, a stationery shop, gym, juice center, and a general store.

The campus life is very vibrant. The college has its inter-batch fests along with inter-college cultural and sports fests. It also organizes annual research conferences with industry experts. There are different cells and clubs. The clubs hold their sessions and organize different activities. Since there are multiple Symbiosis campuses at the same location, you can also participate in their fests and competitions happening throughout the year. The college has 2 main gates which have good security. The building has 6 floors in which the administration department and library are on the ground floor. Design students occupy 1st to 4th floors while the 5th and 6th are for mass communication students. Each floor has 8 rooms including 4 screening rooms. There is an AV studio present on the 6th floor which is used for practical work like studying camera equipment or shooting AV assignments. The college also has an amphitheatre & an auditorium for events along with a cricket ground and basketball court. Students can access a number of facilities at the college like medical aid, general store, and an underground canteen.

My overall campus life was very fun and lively. To keep students engaged, the college has clubs for various activities like dance, debate, literature, music, theatre, poetry, and many more. The college organises events like ‘Vaividhya’ and ‘Madhyam’, which are performed by all 3 batches. ‘Anukram’ is a professional event in which industry experts are welcomed to share their insights. SCMC building had six floors as the top two floors are for SCMC and the 3rd and 4th for SID students. On ground floor there was an admin department, 1st floor we had many labs from audio labs to language labs, and second floor we had library and canteen. The campus is beautiful and has multiple canteens along with an outlet of CCD. The sporting facilities were a little sparse though because only the ones with a proper skill set were allowed to play the matches and others can use it only when it is not occupied. Well that never happened and therefore I never got an opportunity to play sports at the campus.

Every college of Viman Nagar used to have their own fest and our department fest was called DZMA. The annual fest that included all the colleges was called Sympulse which had back-to-back events for almost five days and we were the ones who were given the responsibility to organize those events.Read Full Review
