Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication Pune Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The College is in Viman Nagar and shares its campus with 3 other departments of Symbiosis. The classrooms are all modern with AC and fans. There are screening rooms which help us analyse media videos. There is a shooting floor, library, auditorium, amphitheater and Rangoli, our College's store which has everything from stationery to food available. The canteen has different cuisines and there is a mess for hostel students in the campus as well. There is a medical centre and an emotional wellbeing centre. The tunnel area which is essentially a seating area near the auditorium is my favorite spot in the campus.

The College provides me with the College life I had always dreamt of. The crowd is a mix of people from all over India. This helps us know more about the culture of other states. There are multiple clubs like the Dance, Music, Debate, Theatre club, etc. These clubs are responsible for handling events in our fests. There are two fests that the College organises every year. Our biggest fest is Satrang, which is our cultural fest. This includes events from the clubs and musicals. Our next fest is RUSH, which is our sports fest which brings sports fanatics and athletes together. The college shares its campus with three other Symbiosis colleges. It's a very big campus located near the Pune Airport. The campus is well equipped with lifts and water coolers. There is a library and a ground on the campus. Other sports facilities are available and free to use in other Symbiosis Viman Nagar campuses. The SCMC campus also has a canteen, mess, ATM, a stationery shop, gym, juice center, and a general store.

The campus life is very vibrant. The college has its inter-batch fests along with inter-college cultural and sports fests. It also organizes annual research conferences with industry experts. There are different cells and clubs. The clubs hold their sessions and organize different activities. Since there are multiple Symbiosis campuses at the same location, you can also participate in their fests and competitions happening throughout the year. The college has 2 main gates which have good security. The building has 6 floors in which the administration department and library are on the ground floor. Design students occupy 1st to 4th floors while the 5th and 6th are for mass communication students. Each floor has 8 rooms including 4 screening rooms. There is an AV studio present on the 6th floor which is used for practical work like studying camera equipment or shooting AV assignments. The college also has an amphitheatre & an auditorium for events along with a cricket ground and basketball court. Students can access a number of facilities at the college like medical aid, general store, and an underground canteen.

My overall campus life was very fun and lively. To keep students engaged, the college has clubs for various activities like dance, debate, literature, music, theatre, poetry, and many more. The college organises events like ‘Vaividhya’ and ‘Madhyam’, which are performed by all 3 batches. ‘Anukram’ is a professional event in which industry experts are welcomed to share their insights. During this particular event, the students get networking opportunities which could help them after graduation.Read Full Review
