Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Pune

Viman Nagar campus doesn’t have hostel in its premises but the hostels are close to the campus as we were provided bus services by the college for pick up and drop. There were two wings for men’s hostel and students of various colleges at Viman Nagar campus used to stay in those hostels. There are many kinds of room options as there are around 50 single seater rooms too. The demand is always high and rooms are lesser so the hostels are awarded on the first cum first serve basis. After every semester, we had to re-apply for the hostels and this was a pathetic rule as I failed to do so after the third semester and had to find an accommodation. However, Viman Nagar is close to some of the top areas of Pune like Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, and Tingre Nagar were close to the college where finding flats was quite easy.Read Full Review

There are 6 hostel buildings in all but I avoid staying in the hostel as my relatives used to stay in Kalyani Nagar and I used to travel on my own. Talking about the hostel that college has built are world class. Symbiosis is known for having students from not just India but many countries as well and therefore the hostels were in accordance with that. Separate boys and girls hostel with all the amenities that can be termed as luxury as well.Read Full Review

The hostel is common for the various institutes that are located in the campus. There are in all 6-hostel building and out of which 4 are ladies and 2 are boys’ hostel. I lived in triple sharing as we all three were classmates. There were 32 rooms in our wing and 96 girls used to stay in our hostel. 2 hostel buildings were on twin sharing but of course the fees were higher. The rooms were well furnished and clean as well. Since the hostel is at a distant place from the college, there were buses organized to take us from hostel to college.Read Full Review
