Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication Fees Structure & Courses 2025, Pune

I studied B.A Mass Communication. However, the college has now changed its course structure because of the New Education Policy. The institution provides two courses - B.A Mass Communication and BBA Mass Communication are 4-year courses. SCMC has its own entrance exam called Symbiosis Entrance Test, which is like any other entrance exam that consists of sections like English, quantitative aptitude, and G.K. Once you clear the exam, there is an assignment followed by an interview. There are internal assignments for each subject and a final exam at the end of the semester. Minimum 75% attendance is compulsory in each semester.

The fee for one year in SCMC is around 3 Lakh. The fee structure for Indian students and NRI students is different. There is a scholarship given if you score more than 8.5 GPA in a semester.Read Full Review

I chose the Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Mass Communication program with audio visual specialization. I wanted to become a filmmaker and my career goals were aligned with the course provided at the college. Students have to take the SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) entrance exam to get admission in this course. Once you qualify that, there is a personal interview round taken by the faculty of the college. You are selected based on your SET score and personal interview results. We had exams at the end of every semester. My course was designed to prepare us for the real world.

My annual fee at Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication was nearly Rs. 3,00,000. The total fee for the 3 years program including hostel expense was Rs. 10,00,000. However, for NRI students, the fee was approximately Rs. 3,00,000 per year.Read Full Review

Our course covered a wide range of subjects like PR, Marketing Management, cultural studies, advertisement, consumer behavior, and film criticism to name a few. At SCMC we were provided the best of both the worlds and they are media industry and corporate exposure. Our academics indulged a system where we had to do a lot of live projects as I felt that was the best way to learn and text learning can’t even compete with it. Some of the live projects where SCMC students were provided opportunities include Leo Burnett Advertising, annual communication conclave called Communication Quotient, and Bangalore Literature Festival to name a few.
