IIEST Shibpur Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Every department has its own building. New block is under construction. Every classroom has different sitting capacity and in my department the capacity is 100 students in a room. They have facilities in classrooms like AC. They have seminar halls, 3 Canteen and medical rooms for minor issues like fever, cough and many more. All type of sports and games facilities is available. My favorite place in my Institution is clock tower.

My overall campus life is good. Students are actively participating in Sports and Events. There are many clubs in the Institution. Every department organise their own fest. They have annual fest named ‘REBECA’ and Techno-Management Fest named ‘Instruo’. It is a 114-acre campus in Howrah, West Bengal. Classrooms are equipped with all facilities, and new buildings have modern setups. Labs are equipped for hands-on training, with specialized facilities for Programming And Software Development, Automobile, Carpentry, and more. The Ramanujan Central Library, has about 1,58,000 books and 41,000 bound journal volumes. There is a health unit with medical officers and 24/7 ambulance service. An Isolation Ward is available for infectious diseases. The campus is Wi-Fi-enabled, but connectivity is inconsistent in older hostels, although satisfactory Wi-Fi connectivity is there in libraries and new buildings. Swimming pool, basketball courts, cricket and football grounds, badminton and volleyball courts, and a gymnasium are also there. Halls, such as the Alumni Seminar Hall, support conferences and workshops.

Overall campus life is good. You can take a walk around the lush green campus. Institute crowd is good as they came through JEE main. There are many clubs in institute in almost every activity. I am a part of CodeIiest the Coding Club of IIEST Shibpur. Festivals like ‘Instruo’ and ‘Rebeca’ make campus life great, fostering creativity and technical skills. Infrastructure is little old but steps are being taken from past 3 months to renovate it. Campus area is around 114 acres. Classroom has seating capacity around 100. There is one library and 2 canteens. There is one hospital also. One favorite thing in infrastructure is clock tower that looks too pretty. Campus is very green and you can see lots of trees here+ 3 lakes also.

Overall campus life is good. There are lots of clubs like Camera Buff, Reflex Beta, Robo Darshan, Euphony, and many more. One can join any club depending on his or her interest. Annual fest includes Rebecca that happens in April. In February, we have annual athletic sports meet, where anyone can participate. Campus life experience is nice as one can get exposed to various things from academics to co-curriculum.Read Full Review
