IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

IIT Kharagpur is one of the most renowned academic institutes in India. It has NIRF ranking of 5th in engineering category. It is one among the oldest IITs in India which makes it strong alumni network. The lush greenery campus with fresh air, away from city makes students life excellent. I am from IIT Kharagpur and unlike many other IITs, there is no LAN Ban or restriction on data usage and also there is no hostel curfew which is an added bonus.Read Full Review

Being from a middle class family I have dreamt about getting into this Institute from Class 11. I didn't get much exposure to Engineering before, so I was very much excited. It is one of the largest campuses having a jungle spread on half of its area. One will not get bored as there many things to do. On every weekend, there are some programs going on at Gymkhana. There is excellent senior junior interaction; most of the seniors are very helpful. There are many societies as well which you can get into in first year. I am very happy to have got into IIT KGP. It has got the largest campus among all the IITs; spread around 2200 acres of land. It is one of the top 10 IITs. The course I have chosen here is Industrial and Systems Engineering and it is offered by this Institute alone.Read Full Review
