Punjab Engineering College (formerly known as PEC University of Technology) [PEC Chandigarh], Chandigarh was established in the year 1921 as Deemed to be University Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Engineering. PEC Chandigarh is approved by the reputed AICTE and UGC, and is accredited by NAAC.
Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) was established in the year 1921. The campus is located in Chandigarh and has covered an area of about 146 acres. The College is recognised and affiliated by AICTE, NAAC, and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
The vision of the College is to establish an institute that provides technical education for the aspiring youth of the country. The mission of the college is to develop a culture of excellence within the campus so that students who have passed or are studying in the institute could get the best placements in leading companies.
The college offers about 8 B.Tech Undergraduate programs and approximately 14 M.Tech Postgraduate Programs in different fields of Technology and Engineering. The college also provides Ph.D. Programs in the field of Science, Social Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, and Management.
