Life at Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi

Overall Rating
The overall experience at IIT Varanasi was very good. One of the best years I have spent in life. IIT Varanasi is different from other IITs because of much reason like it has temples and open campus which make this IIT unique. I choose this IIT because of its coding culture. Our college has highest number of gross selection this year.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing civil engineering from IIT Varanasi. As such there is no requirement for this course. Each and everything will be taught from basics. So just focus on your JEE Advanced. Some of the syllabus of JEE Advanced will be taught. Many practical labs will be there so if you are not able to understand theory then you can understand from lab. My motive to join this course is due to its vast scope in future.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty member are awesome here. They have done there Ph.D from top institute of the world like MIT, Harvard, and many other IITs. They teach very nicely. If you are not able to understand in class you can to their cabin they will teach you personally each and everything. They are very friendly will help you always in each and every thing.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of College is decent. Since our college is open campus so any one can come inside campus which makes us uncomfortable. We have a library which is fully Ac and open from 8 AM to 2 AM in night. All type of books is available in Library which you can issue for free. We also have a Placement Cell. We didn't have academic centre but funds are released for academic centre and hopefully it would we constructed in coming years.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is good. As the campus is open which means anyone can come inside campus so crowd is there in college. We have all types of club like for coding we have Cops, for quant which is a new club we have quant club. We have dance and music club and robotics and astro club and many more. Different fest are organised every year like our cultural fest kashiyatra which is largest fest of India and tech fest known as technex and spardha as sports fest and many other department fest also.

    IIT BHU is currently ranked 10 in NIRF ranking 2024. The college has very good environment for academics and personal development. So many clubs and societies are there to help a student in his / her extracurricular growth. The college has tech clubs like aero modeling, robotics, coding club, and more.     The overall experience at IIT BHU is like dream fulfilling, had a rigorous curriculum, research opportunities and highly educated faculties for the academics. I really like the sports facilities offered by the institute and joyful & memorable experiences at the festivals.     My overall experience at the institute until now is amazing. The one thing that makes this institute different from other IITs is spirituality and serenity this place holds. Authorities are excessively concerned for mental and physical health of students. Moreover, the faculty members and seniors are also helpful. There is no ragging culture unlike other colleges.
